UPDATED FOR YOUR COMFORT…

NOVEMBER 9, 2009

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ME!
I am Terryll Preston…

Still2twisted is no more…

Because it was time for a change…

Because it was time to grow up a little…

I write stories here on Fictionpress…

And Fanfiction(dot)net as well…

But my update schedule leaves MUCH to be desired…

If my stories have more than ONE female character, you can be very sure that yuri/shoujo-ai won’t be too far behind…

I am a yuri fanboy to the extreme, which can’t be healthy…

I tend to dabble in yaoi too, though I’m still learning the trade…

Thanks to my sensei, Profiterole…

My laziness is my anti-drug…

I used to love reviews…

But finally realized the truth…

That only real, helpful critique matters in the end, not ‘cuul i luv ur stori’…

Because, seriously, just how much can THAT help my writing talent grow…

I love writing…

But I hardly have the time to do so…

I love reviewing too…

But I hardly have the time to do that either…

Let’s face it, work sucks…

But then, doesn’t everything in the world…?

MY STORIGAMI!
When the sky cries crimson tears…

A weak-sounding knock on fusuma door to her room shook Aia gladly from those tormenting and hurtful thoughts.

“Yes,” she spoke out in a strained voice, continuing to push her body as far as she could to her side. “Come in, it’s not locked.”

The thin, wooden door slid aside and Yoshima Akagi stumbled into her room, collapsing to the bare floor just as soon as she cleared the threshold. Looking up toward other girl stretching before her, Akagi smiled feebly and fell the rest of the way to the cold wood beneath her shuddering body as those quivering arms gave out completely. Seeing Akagi crumple into a heap in front of her wide eyes, Aia immediately straightened herself out and rushed to the fallen girl’s side.

“Oh my God,” Aia whispered as she gently lifted the gi-clad girl’s head onto her lap. “What did that witch do to you? Akagi? Akagi??”

The smaller girl’s eyes fluttered open heavily, hazy and misty emeralds surrounded by the crusty remnants of tears only minutes dried away. Slowly, painfully, Akagi raised a hand to her friend’s worried face and laid it against her cool cheek. That disgusting braid hanging from Aia’s hair brushed against her hand easily. She smiled up lightly at the girl who had said that she would protect her. The look on the child’s face brought the beginnings of tears to Aia’s own eyes.

“It’s…it’s…okay,” Akagi stammered out weakly. “I…I sent…I sent her…away. I…I…told…her…I told her…that you…would…protect…me. She’s…she’s back in…the…the dark…place now.”

Tendrils of worry and sadness wound their ways through Aia’s heart thickly as she ran the back of her hand across Akagi’s forehead, pushing aside the strands of damp, dark-red hair that had fallen into the girl’s bright green eyes. What was she talking about? Who had she sent away? Was it…was it Mai-sensei that she was talking about? Or had it been Yumi? Oh what did it matter? Either way it went, Akagi had paid for it; and she had paid for it dearly. All because she was Aia’s friend.

“Akagi,” she began in a low and sorrowful voice. “Akagi, I’m so sorry that…that I got you involved in this. Mai-sensei, Yumi, all of it. I…I never meant…I mean, I didn’t know…I…I…”

With those few words barely spoken, Aia broke down and began to cry as she tenderly worked her arms under Akagi’s nearly limp body and pulled her up into a loving embrace. Holding the child’s small body close, Aia didn’t even try to restrain the flood of tears that ran from her closed eyes as she rocked back and forth on the floor with Akagi cradled in her arms.

“I’m…so…sorry…I’m…so…sorry…I’m…so…sorry…” she mumbled between sniffs and hiccups.

Tiredly, Akagi wrapped her arms around Aia’s back with as much strength as she had left.

“It’s…it’s okay,” she replied quietly. “Aia…it’s…okay…but, do…do you…think…it…it would…be alright if…if I stayed…in your…your room tonight? With…you…? I…I don’t want…to be…to be alone. Can…I?”

Pulling her head away from Akagi’s slender shoulders, Aia looked deeply into the girl’s fatigued face and smiled despite the tears still flowing from her eyes.

The blade that cavorts in a time not yet known…

Pulling the blade free of its sheathe, Fik’s lips curled into an evil, cruel smile as she leapt over the fallen Sa Moo-rai and rushed for the three standing before her. Their leader reacted quickly enough, raising his white-handled k’tana before him in a defensive stance as the other two fell back through the doorway rigidly and drew their own blades after clearing the building. But Fik ignored them as she brought her k’tana across in a vertical slashing arc toward the man in front of her; dark eyes alight with a furious excitement. Seeing the expression on her face, the white-clad man backpedaled slightly and then hefted his k’tana into a horizontal position to counter her strike. Fik’s blade struck loud and hard against the Sa Moo-rai’s, the metal-on-metal sound ringing throughout the pawnshop’s empty space. Locking eyes with the man in front her; she dropped the serious look on her face momentarily, casually winking at him before pursing her lips and blowing him an invisible kiss. The Sa Moo-rai’s own eyes narrowed darkly.

With a sudden surge of anger, the defending man strongly pushed away her blocked slash. Using the momentum of his guard and subsequent pushback against him, Fik whirled herself around and brought her right leg up in a spinning roundhouse kick that caught the Sa Moo-rai hard in the chin with the bottom of her dirty foot. Stunned by the sudden retaliation, he spun off awkwardly to the side, almost losing his balance as he stumbled against a small stack of crates. Shaking his head to clear it, he quickly turned himself around, back against the boxes and k’tana raised before him. Expecting her next attack to be stronger than her last, he wrapped both gloved hands around the stark white handle of his blade tightly and waited. He had a little surprise or two in store for the little vagrant who thought she could challenge the might of the Traditionalist Government chosen warriors! But when he raised his eyes to see what direction she was attacking from, all he found was…a vanishing dust trail that led out of a now open backdoor.

The Sa Moo-rai just stared blankly at the open door, eyes turned to little black dots as a sudden gust of wind accompanied by a loud crow cawing in the background echoed through the empty space before him.

The tick-tock of the clock is painful…

W-What am I, she questioned shakily to herself, once tight arms beginning to slacken around her legs. A Servant of God? A servant of p-perversion? I-If I…if I am the prostitute…then…then why do I r-remember m-my kidnapping so clearly? Why is…why is the pain so sharp, so vivid in my mind? H-He cut…cut me…hurt me… I hated him for that! But why? Why do I hate him? Sh-Should I…? H-He…hurt…me… But…but… I…wanted… I needed… More…? NO! What am I saying?! That man – that bastard! – raped my senses for his own perverse fantasies! I HATE him! I will always hate him! But…no…I…I… I can’t hate him, can I? As a Servant of God, I am not supposed to hate. I’m supposed to hold true to my convictions and my faith. But…but where was God when…when that man was…was hurting me? Where was He?! What did my faith grant me then? How did it help me?! I-It didn’t…did it…? I was…alone. At his mercy…forced to feel…things… Desires… Urges… I wasn’t supposed…supposed to like…them… But…but I did… No… I-I hated w-what he did to m-me… Didn’t I… A…A Servant of God would not lose faith so easily. Would…she…?

Rachel felt a strong sensation of longing roll through her body. She tried to shut it out, tried to block it. But it was harder this time. The desire welled up in her like a flooded river behind a dam. Why was it harder to push those unwanted urges back? Memories in her mind glittered darkly, whirling meticulously through the infinite black of her disorganized feelings. The knife. She could feel her skin tingling, burning lightly with a yearning to be slash open. His voice. Filled every crevice, every inch of her pounding heart with an untamed lust; wild and overpowering. His words. Sent long, vibrant shivers of ecstatic joy racing up her spine, caused spasms of nearly orgasmic pleasure to pulse between her legs. Rachel could feel that familiar sticky wetness growing again. Her fingers twitched. Her hand fumbled. In a panic, she clasped them both together and tightened her arms around her legs, burying her face as deeply as she could against her upraised legs. Tears flowed freely down her face and onto the pale flesh of her bare thighs. Why couldn’t she push back the feelings?! Her heart was racing. The dampness between her legs was growing. She wanted to touch it, feel it. She wanted to bury her fingers into that wetness, feel the pleasure – the release – it would grant her. She wanted to. She wanted to…resist. She had to resist! She wasn’t a prostitute! Wasn’t she? She was a woman of God! No she wasn’t! These feelings meant nothing to her! Yes they did! Her life was the Church and Christ, her Lord and Savior! Her life was on her back and on her knees, servicing the men who paid her until they filled her with themselves. Her life was righteous! Her life was perverted, and she loved every minute of it! That was her reality, not these ungodly desires born of one man’s twisted torture! That was her reality, not these pious thoughts of false praise to a God who probably didn’t even exist! That was the truth of who she was not the other!

The quiet hydraulic sound of the room door opening brought her tear-streaked, haggarded face up from those damp legs. The wetness between them teased her relentlessly. She wanted to touch it. She had to touch it! She had to feel it! Just…one…more…time…

To speak of things while enjoying the bliss of morning coffee…

Nat pulled herself away from the doorframe and walked all the way into the family room. She tried hard not to scowl at May and failed…miserably.

“It’s not what he did May,” she began hotly. “It’s never been about what he did. It’s about what he’s doing, how he’s acting. It’s about how he treats me like I’m something to be hidden in a closet whenever he talks about the rest of you! He’ll mention his oddball parents, his weirdo, outcast sister and the adopted one from Japan; but what he always leaves out is his oldest sibling! You know, the one who’s a goddamned lesbian! The one who doesn’t exist in his precious, fucking social circle of snobs and rich pricks! That’s what he did to me, May! He cut me from his life like I was nothing! Just because I’m a lesbian and because I’m in love with Becca! That’s why I hate him so much! That’s why I can’t stand him now!”

The expression on May’s face never changed, even as she raised her head and folded her arms under her chin. Not that Nat had expected it to. This wasn’t the first time May had questioned her reasons for hating their older brother. And it sure wasn’t the first time the girl had heard Nat speak about Jake in that manner. Obviously, it wouldn’t be the last time either. Not by a long shot.

“Well,” May responded in an abrasive tone. “What you’re doing is disgusting! Jake’s right! It’s not right for you two to be together! You should’ve just stayed with Gib! He may’ve been a total dork but at least he was a man!”

It was Nat’s turn to be offended.

“Why,” she practically shouted, countenance flushing with anger. “Because that high and mighty asshole says so; because all those conservative-minded dipshits out there who’s asses he’s kissing say so?! You’re supposed to be so damned smart, you tell me why?!”

About that time, the front door opened and closed, then a few seconds later Lilly breezed into the family room with a mischievous smile more than evident on her dark face.

“Ooh,” she called out happily, plopping down hard on the recliner adjacent to the couch. “A fight between Nat and the Banana! Oh…don’t let me get in the way! Come on, come on! I wanna see some blood this time! Come on Nat, peel that Banana! I so wanna see her cry!”

Immediately forgetting all about Nat, May turned her nearly black eyes upon Lilly. They were as piercing as daggers. And her voice was just as sharp.

“Shutup you ganguro wannabe,” she yelled at the teenager sitting in the recliner with one leg cocked up over the arm of it. “This isn’t any of your business! So why don’t you just butt out!”

Lilly’s smile only broadened, even as her eyes narrowed darkly.

“Because Banana,” she taunted rudely. “Anything that gets you all pissy and emo makes me really happy. And that makes it my business. Simple as that. Don’t like it? Feel free to leave and go back where you came from anytime. I know I won’t be missing you.”

From where Nat was standing, she could see the expression on May’s face alter dramatically. Where it had once been full of defiance, full of defense for her older brother; it was now full of that look one would expect from a girl trying to hard to find acceptance in a family that wasn’t truly her own. It was a look that Nat had seen one time too many. A look that came about every time May and Lilly started picking at each other. And it was something that Nat was getting tired of. Very tired.

“Dammit Lil,” Nat hollered as she rushed over and grabbed the grinning dark-skinned teen by the arm. “Why don’t you just shut the fuck up and leave her alone! Stop blaming her for everything bad in your life! It isn’t her fault! Whether you like it or not, she’s your fucking sister and a member of our family! You really need to get over this shit, Lil. You need to get over it now!”

Yanking her arm away from Nat’s grip, Lilly glowered up at the older woman with angry eyes.

“Like you fucking know what I’m going through, Nat! Like you fucking know anything that goes on around this house! You and that bastard Jake don’t even live here anymore! So what gives you the goddamned right to lecture me about anything?! Huh?! What makes you so fucking high and mighty that I should even give a damn about what you tell me?!”

Nat was about to answer Lilly when another voice broke in to interrupt her. A male voice.

“Because Lilly, she’s your sister. Your older sister and you should listen to her what she has to say.”

Nat didn’t even have to turn around to know who was standing in the doorway to the family room. The voice and May practically leaping off the couch to run in that direction told her everything she needed to know.

In the head of those who sleep, visions lay the foundations to a future unknown...

All of a sudden, a ragged looking Arisu threw herself into the compartment. Behind her, other occupants of the passenger car rushed past the open doorway; faces frantic and terrified. There was no need to ask whether they had seen what had happened. The screams and panicked yells told the story. Arisu landed heavily on the seat opposite to Tomoko, clothing looking pulled, stretch and worn. A similar expression was stitched across her young face. Her dark eyes, however, were fiery and focused. They ignored everyone else in the compartment accept Kitada.

“Hey,” she voiced roughly, staring up at the taller girl who was raising both of her arms to the back of her head. “How about a little more of a warning next time, huh?”

Kitada didn’t throw so much as a glance in Arisu’s direction as she turned away from Tomoko and centered her attention on the open doorway. She casually grabbed the dark-blue scrunchie from around her wrist with her left hand and stretched it open with her long fingers. Using her right, she gathered up what she could of her lengthy, ebony hair, pulled it into a tight tail and began to swiftly feed it through the open scrunchie. Twisting the stretchy piece of cloth, she promptly repeated the process four more times until she was sure that her hair would remain well out of the way. Once she had finished, Kitada lowered her arms to her sides, took a deep breath and walked briskly toward the compartment doorway. She found herself surprised by a hand being clamped tautly around her left arm.

“Wh-where the hell do you think you’re going,” Arisu questioned unsteadily. The anger in her voice had vanished; replaced by the alarm and uncertainty that had been present before she decided force herself to get up and run into the compartment. “Didn’t you just see what happened?! S-Something cut a…something sliced…sliced th-through –”

“You need to let me go,” the ponytailed girl interrupted impatiently, tone icy but controlled. “You need to let me go, now.”

Arisu didn’t know if she was reacting more to the absolute coldness in Kitada’s voice or its very apparent authoritive tone, either way she found her hand releasing the grip she had placed around the girl’s arm a lot quicker than she would have thought. Or maybe she was reacting to the abrupt and horrible realization that was dawning uneasily in her mind. No, she thought out as she felt her eyes growing larger. She can’t be thinking of… Can she? What…what does she think she can do against…against… Against whatever the hell just sliced a gash through solid metal…TWICE

“Are…” Arisu found herself gulping unconsciously as she lowered herself back onto the seat in undisguised disbelief. “Are you crazy?! You…you can’t be seriously thinking of going out there! Hey! Are you even listening to me?! It’s suicide! HEY! Do you even know what the hell is going on?! Huh?! Answer me! Do you even –”

“They’re here for me,” she broke in quietly, eyes never turning to face Arisu. “They’re here for what I...did. They’re here to kill me.”

Arisu just stared at the back of the girl's head unbelievingly.

“Wha...Wh-what?”

THE TERRYLL PRESTON NEWS TICKER!

The dREAMSEEd ‘Reboot’ Commences and Other News!

Today, I posted the first chapter of my dREAMSEEd rewrite (or ‘reboot’ if you will). While not much changes in this chapter (largely just cleaning up some of the dialogue, adding few things here and there and clearing old errors), it’s the start of a massive set of alterations that I have planned for the dREAMSEEd. For the new fans, I hope you enjoy reading this story. For the old fans, I hope you take the time to give it a reread as some of the things you remember from before will probably be drastically changed. Here’s to hoping that you guys like it!

In other news, you might have noticed that my story count has been reduced. I have decided to simply remove the stories that I no longer have much of an interest in working on right now. Only want to keep my focus on as few stories as possible right now so I can actually finish something. As such, I won’t posting any new stories on Fictionpress until further notice.

Chapter 02 of dREAMSEEd Posted, Along With Some Needed Proofreading!

Chapter 02 “ICE QUEEN” of dREAMSEEd is now up. For everyone who hasn’t read it, it’s a kind of slow chapter as again not much relevant happens – largely a bunch of character moments intersperse with a medium amount of subdued action. I believe that’s it’s still a good read, though. For those of you who have been following dREAMSEEd, this chapter might seem rather different on first glance. There are some changes in Kitada’s character and abilities, along with Tomoko not spending the entire chapter in a ‘catatonic’ state. The ending is also different from what you remember, but I really think it was for the best.

Man, I also must SERIOUSLY apologize for the horrible state that this chapter was posted in! I don’t know how so many errors slipped past me! I guess I was just in a hurry to get it up, but still! There’s really no excuse for such a buggy chapter to be posted, especially with a proper beta read! So, I again offer my most humblest apologies and hope that you will still read my works…

Chapter 03 of dREAMSEEd Posted!

Chapter 03 "StrengthFuryMadness" of dREAMSEEd is now up for your viewing pleasure! For the readers who have been foloowing this series since I first posted it it, this chapter is pretty much NOTHING like you remembered! For one, it actually follows the character of Shiza Tomoko (a friend of mine came up with the nickname 'Moe-Badass' to describe her after reading this chapter) more than it does the series lead, Niimara Arisu. It also delves a little deeper into her character than the previous version of this chapter, allowing you to see what really motivates her into going into such a dangerous situation. I personally believe that this is how I should have handled the chapter with Kitada and Kanna; spending more time on fleshing out their characters and working the entire thing through their point of view instead of Arisu's.

Anyway, I hope everyone who reads it enjoys this newest chapter of dREAMSEEd! Hopefully, my next update will be a little bit quicker!

Just Added a New Poll to My Profile!

Okay, yeah...I know, it's a lame topic to Poll for, but I'd just like a little feedback. It's not like I doubt the title of the chapter, rather when I saw how it looked in the 'Select Chapter' box on the main story page, I kind of found myself liking it. So, I created my very first poll to seek opinions as to whether or not I should change it. So, please take a moment to vote for the title that sounds/looks best to you! I'd really appreciate the input!

Chapter 04 "My Red-Headed Senpai" of dREAMSEEd has been uploaded for your reading pleasure! Again, this will probably be nothing any of you remember. Chapter 05 of dREAMSEEd Posted and a Progress Update on Chapter 06!

Chapter 05 "Osakan Sensei Hates Me" of dREAM+SEEd is complete and is now up for you to read! I spent most of the day proofreading and debugging this chapter, so if you spot any mistakes please tell. This chapter treads familiar ground for anyone who read the original version of dREAM+SEEd. I'm very proud of the character interaction with this chapter and I hope you enjoy it as much as enjoyed writing it! Also, for those of you who are interested, the next chapter of dREAM+SEEd is currently in the works and about 85 percent complete. As with this chapter, I will have it out next Wednesday! As you can see, I'm trying very hard to keep a regular updating schedule!

A Few Words on Some New Additions and dREAMSEEd Volume 2!

I have re-uploaded the Yumi: Violent Tendencies mini-series. I figured why not since I have currently decided to revise Ame no Akai: The Death of Innocence. Hopefully, if all goes well, new chapters will follow for both of these OG stories of mine. On another note, I have also added a spanking brand new volume to dREAMSEEd called "DARKSIDE OF WONDERLAND"! Please read and enjoy!

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 8, 2009

Retro Repost Week Begins Tomorrow!

With the recent repost of Yumi: Violent Tendencies, I have felt the sudden desire to re-up some of my older works. Besides Yumi: Violent Tendencies, I removed a fair number of projects simply because I just felt that my story list had become too crowded. I realized that even though these stories weren't being updated, they were other examples of my writing skills and talents. So, with that in mind, I plan on reposting the majority of what I removed nearly a year ago. This means the return of stories like TDiM, Out of the bluE, Visions of Cerulean, Mode Gray and a few others. It is my sincerest wish that those of you who are new to the writings of Terryll Preston will enjoy these removed entries for they are...well-written, original pieces of fiction. And for those of you who remember all the old stuff that I had posted and enjoyed it, have fun on your trip down memory lane! The first post will be tomorrow. And it will be the first chapter of adventure story, Out of the bluE. See you then!

MONDAY NOVEMBER 9, 2009

The First Story of Retro Repost Week...Out of the bluE!!

Chapter 1 of Out of the bluE is now up for everyone's reading pleasure! This story was one of the very first ones that I posted here on Fictionpress, along with Ame no Akai: The Death of Innocence (formerly, Akai Ame). I did a little minor retouching to smooth out the story flow and altered the name of the main protagonist (he was Uri Amora but I changed it to Amaru Kaneda because it sounded a little closer to actual Japanese). At the time (and probably even now), I felt that this was one of my most original pieces and probably one the ones that had the most potential for success. For one reason or another, however, I lost interest in the story and moved on to new projects and ideas (one of my major faults as a writer). Recently, I've been going over some of my older stuff to see how it compares to how I writer now and became somewhat inspired to return to the world of Out of the bluE! Now, I make no promises. But there IS a distinct possibility that I might reurn to writing this very interesting story sometime soon. Only time will tell, though. But regardless of the outcome, please enjoy this story!
