I am new to writing stories. I never used to think of it as fun until recently. I enjoy reading other people's stories, but am not very good at writing my own. My favorite genres are spiritual, fantasy and horror. I love Japanese anime and manga, and I love the traditional culture even more. I usually set my stories in Japan or the Far East. I have an admiration for anything imperfect and fleeting yet beautiful. The small parts that make up the whole truly fascinate me and because of that I have a tendency to nit pick.
I am a devout follower of Christ, and He is first in my life. My goal in life is to find every opportunity to serve others. It is hard for me to give up myself and exchange my life for his, but with God all things are possible! I went on a mission trip to China this past summer of 2004, and God did amazing things that opened my eyes and my heart. 78 people accept Jesus into their lives, about 50 were formally baptized, 480 Bibles were smuggled in, and thousands of lives were changed, including my own. God showed me His will for my life, and totally lavished me in his love. Looking back on it, I don't know how I went so long without having such an intimate relationship with the Lord. For those who don't believe in Jesus and think I'm crazy, just know that I love you, God loves you, and that you are in my prayers. For those who do believe, isn't God awesome!? Praise the Lord!
So, in short, I am a soldier in an army. My commander is the LORD, and the war has already been won. I fight battles every waking, battles against the rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world, and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realsm; I fight to win souls for my LORD. My enemy is the devil, who is trembling in fear and rage at this very moment. I am not a part of a club, where I choose when I come and join in. I am a soldier, and this is my life. Every minute of my day is spent trying to serve my commander and shine light into the darkness of this world. And, you know what? It's working. When one of us walks down the street, letting the light of Christ shine through, people notice. And they tremble. Demons can't see the difference between Christ and me, because he is in me and I in him. They run and hide because they are darkness, and in the prescence of light, darkness is dispelled. |
