Author has written 18 stories for Fantasy, Friendship, Love, Humor, Nature, Life, Fantasy, and General. To read is to enter into another realm and experience another time and place, characters' conflicts and resolutions, and various thoughts and emotions. To write is to create a portal to a realm you may have visited, allowing others to share in your own adventures, as well as to think through your own thoughts and ideas. I write my feelings through my poetry and stories. Some are purely whimsical with little weight while others portray various experienced emotions. My novels tend toward the fantasy genre simply because I love escaping reality for a while. When I read, I forget about my own troubles, and instead I pick up the problems of the characters. Then I go on a whirlwind of dramatic conflict and adventure full of ups and downs, and near the end there is a resolution. Whether or not the characters' problems are solved, there is closure for them within the book. I re-enter reality and feel rejuvenated and optimistic about my own life. After all, is stressing over classes really as bad as having the fate of middle earth resting on you shoulders? For now I have only a portion of my poetry available; however, I am trying to move forward with my novels. The trouble is that new ideas keep popping up before I can finish the old ones! If you are interested in more of my work or would like me to look at your work, I ask you to heed the words of Eomer: "Need brooks no delay, yet late is better than never." Patience, mellon. (If you can't tell, The Lord of the Rings is my all-time favorite. Tolkein is a genius and his work is one of the main influences on my imagination for my stories. Life influences my poems.) Thank you for taking the time to look at my work, whether you came here through the fictionpress site, or through the "Inklings" facebook group, or through knowing me personally. Any constructive critiques and opinions are greatly appreciated. Noro go hûl, bado go Eru. ~Kyante | |||||||
