03/26/08-

Hey everyone, I know it has been literally months since I last updated, and I owe you all a big apology! I had major writer's block (outlines only help so much...), once again, and then with school and work... well I'm just making excuses now but I'm sorry it took so long and to show just how sorry I am, I've written and EXTRA long chapter, 25 pages compared to my normal 6-8! See how special you all are? And it's not a b.s. chapter either, some key things happen! I hope you like it, don't forget to let me know what you think! If you see any grammar mistakes, please let me know also. With schoolwork and such I'm seriously a grammar Nazi, ask anyone! But on here... I think I get too caught up in updating to actually double check my grammar. I should, I know, and I'm getting a lot better since Chapter 1, but I hardly ever do so point it out to me!

A big thanks goes out to all who read, old and new. I lost a lot of readers when I went on hiatus, and I appreciate the ones who stuck with me and I especially love the new ones!

One more note before I let you go... I recently saw the movie Ella Enchanted (no, I had not watched it before, and I wish I hadn't now.) and let me just say it a hideously atrocious monstrosity, nothing at all like the book! I cannot believe that Gail Carson Levine would let them mutilate her book that way! I am appalled by that movie - it's the worst disgrace since ... since... well since ever! If you've only ever seen the movie and you haven't read the book, I strongly, strongly suggest you run to your library and get the book, ASAHPTYVM. (as soon as humanly possibly, thank you very much) The book is amazing and the movie is... well... it's polar opposite and nothing like the book at all. They didn't even keep very important parts in it! I'm just... gr... I have every intention of writing a very strongly worded letter to Miss Levine to tell exactly what I think of 'her movie.'

That'll do,

Sorry for the rant.

Chasing Princes has crossed the 200 review mark, Celebrations shall ensue. I cannot believe something I wrote got that much recognition, and it hasn't even reached it's climax yet! I'm going to cry. Well, I would, if i hadn't just got out of the shower. For some reason I can never cry right after a shower... heh... not the point. Thanks to you all, I love you forever and ever and ever!! Keep reading!!

Stories I'm working on:

Chasing Princes-

With her father off in who-knows-where and her mother dead, Talia's stepmother has taken charge. She treats Talia like a slave, and her own daughters like queens. When her stepmother does the impossible, Talia ends up running to...well...she's not really sure, with a boy who does nothing but drive her crazy, and the suddenly very heavy weight of a kingdom resting on her shoulders, battling things that for some crazy reason all want to eat her! Peachy. Just Peachy.

NEW CHAPTER (19) UP!! ENJOY!!

This is sort of loosely based on Cinderella, but only at first! I'm a Cinderella lover, what can I say? But i do have to stress that this is not Cinderella.I'm working on this pretty steadily and I like it so far so read and review please!

Anti-love

(I won't really be working on this until after I finish with Chasing Princes, but the first chapter is up and completely rewritten!)

Rose is a girl who hates the whole idea of falling in love. She's never seen anything good come from love, so why trust it? But her best friend is bound and determined to make her believe and so she takes her on a Valentines day get away to Canada! How romantic. Until she and her friends get lost in the mountains and have only an old, spooky castle to take refuge. What's inside these haunted walls?

I also have many poems, well not very many, but a few. I don't usually post my poetry as it's usually quite personal. I'm better at stories, I think, anyways.

About Me:

Name: Kayla Christine. Yes, that's my real name.

How I look: like a girl about 17 with dark brown curly hair and chestnut eyes though I don't really see why that would have anything to do with how I write...

Age: 17

Things I like: falling in love, writing stories, my SAINT BERNARD BAYLEE!!, my lovely friends who always make me laugh, my strange sense of humor that only my friends get, pretty much a lot of everything...

Things I don't like: boys with Mohawks, orange sherbet, music that makes my ears bleed... I'm pretty laid back, I guess.

Lets see, what else is there to know about me? I'm currently a high school SENIOR in a bum fuck town in the middle of nowhere but in August I'll be a freshmen at Miami University, Go Red hawks! I like to use big words because it makes me feel smart. I have a saint Bernard named Baylee. I love love love movies and I watch hundreds of them... surprisingly enough, my favorite genre is horror. I think the Saw Movies are amazing, not because the gore, but because they make you think and the twists are quite unexpected. My Top Five Favorite Authors on Fictionpress so far are:

BlueEmerald4, M.R.Sanner, hi-tanner85, mrdryrdrlngs, and pixy-dizzy.

They have multiple amazing stories and I will die if any of them ever stop writing! Don't feel bad if you're not on the list, it takes a lot to get there. (not that I'm a judge or anything...lol... I'm just a little picky!) Read some of there stuff. Seriously.

Much love,

Kayla Christine
