I'm Kris, a 1st year business student at the University of Calgary. I like to write, but I can't say I'm any different than any other aspiring writer. I write as a hobby and the stuff I write is by no means the best stuff out there, but I hope that someone likes it and that's all that's important. I still dream of being published one day. My favourite thing is the short story. I don't do overly well on long works, so most of the stuff you'll see from me is shorter.

I like to write in the first person and with a very personal narrative voice. I don't always name my narrator, but since a lot of my writing takes on a short sketch-like quality it doesn't detract much. I'm dreaming of actually finishing a novel. I find it hard to move beyond my short writing, but I'm trying.

Please encourage me on my way. I know it sounds stupid, but I tend to do better if I feel that my writing's being appreciated by someone. Tell me the good, the bad, and the ugly. I really want to improve and I want to become a better writer. I'd left the writing thing alone for a while, but now that I'm getting back I'll need all the help I can get.
