Those of you on fanfiction.net might recognize me as Arlen Halfelven, but I have changed my name to save myself confusion:-) What can I say? I live in southern California and my goal is to publish my first book before I go to college. I am in martial arts, I love horses, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and roleplaying; I write predominately fantasy, but am an occasional (if crappy) poet. My dream home is New Zealand!
Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping... waiting... and though unwanted... unbidden.... it will stir... open its jaws... and howl. It speaks to us... guides us.... Passion rules us all. And we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments: the joy of love.... the clarity of hatred... and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more then we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we'd be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion we'd truly be dead.
