Author has written 1 story for Fantasy.
Heather, a writer friend of mine, once wrote:
"How many things exist without people ever seeing them? Does it make them any less real?"
I agree with her.
But, she's also told me to embrace the insanity.
I have, and it has bitten off my hands.

Hello. I'm Kimberly.
What can I tell you about myself? Basics first.
I live in New England, have been married since 1994 to a faithful and patient man, Matt, have a wonderful son, an overzealous Golden Retriever, Jake, and several chickens.

I also have terrific in-laws who blow to the whole "nasty in-law" image straight out of the water.

I am an aspiring writer who does not expect to make any money off of my work. I simply write because I love to and for the challenge of getting something published.

Maybe.

I've heard it's difficult to break into print.

Eh, I mainly write because I adore all of my characters and I enjoy seeing them develop and get tormented by their twisted little lives.

But, it's much more fun to share, so I've made a web page to allow people to explore this bizarre world that I've discovered buried in the cobwebby corners of my subconscious mind. (see homepage above)

I've been inspired by many songs and have a large selection of them stored away for motivation at low points of my work. Unfortunately, I can't put any of them on my web site. I don't feel like getting sued. You'll just have to take my word for it.

Caendoria is my pet project. It began as a simple short story of a young girl who dies in a car accident after drinking at a party, goes to hell, and gets forgiven by a sympathetic demon. It ballooned into Caendoria. Go figure.

How that happened is anyone's guess.

I've dabbled in writing stories based in this world of ours, but they have all fizzled out without endings. I find it much more fun to write about demonic creatures governed by a vile unseen entity and a fragile society of beings considered to be their prey. I also enjoy writing about crazy people. Eden and Tobias, along with Sebastian, are my personal favorites.

Well, Sebastian is far from crazy, but he's very sweet.

Some people might think that my stories alone should portray the world of Caendoria and encompass it all using the reader's imagination and that making a gigantic web site about it is simply spoiling the 'magic.' What harm is there in a little interest piquing? Besides, I was having way too much fun making this site and couldn't stop. And, if you can't have fun with something you've created, what's the point?

I suppose that's all.

Oh, and if you are a fellow aspiring writer who's reading this, never give up. The storyworld you've created in your head is as real to you on some level as the tangible world around you. Getting other people to believe with you is half the battle. The other half is ignoring those who negatively criticize what you've created.
1. The Perfect Player
A reluctant female heir begins to discover she must rectify a lethal mistake made ages past by Orenda, the longdead creator and Mistress of the Caendorian world.
