Three thousand tears of scribbled poetry Deprived by muses of light and hope Wilted roses to accent her parchment old Dark feathers for her quill long dead And Nurgle's blood for her bloated ink Written, these solemn verses Mirrors to my eternal damnation Come and see, come and look Wallow in the darkness of my voice The songs long forbidden To be sang by melancholic sirens... So here I am, updating my profile... My name is Liah, as you all know. I'm 18 years old and I'm a slightly abnormal girl trying to get through my slightly abnormal life as a Nursing student and a frustrated writer. I've been in love with writing since I was in fourth grade, and since then, I think that the concepts I work with have become more flexible. Writing style evolves, like the writer does. My inspirations are J.K. Rowling (although it doesn't show because most of my poems are gothic and dark);Edgar Allan Poe, of course; my writer friend Chax, who should be given opportunity to write a book, she goes by the pen name "the frustrated witch"; my TGWS friends, who are all marvelous writers: Amakusa Ryu, Henyo, The Dead Boy's Poet, The Frustrated Witch, Amorphous-ocre, Nocturnal-Thredony... For me, writing encompasses all my passion: nature, arts, music, anything and everything beautiful, sadness, death and life, truth, reality and dreams, love and pain, humanity. I think that writing, in itself, is abstract, like a painting or a piece of artwork by Salvador Dali. Every curve, every line, every hue is interpreted differently, understood in an individual way, and sometimes, like some of my friends expressed, cannot be discern at all... That's what makes it beautiful, being able to express yourself, pour your heart out, but still keeping the touch of mystery by weaving your meaning with words... My writing style, how would I describe it? Definitely unrefined. Most of my poems are stream of consciousness style - what comes out comes out. That's it, simple and easy, that's why most of my rubbish are crappy. Someone told me that I should write when I'm calmed and able to sort out my thoughts, and I think she's right, but i don't think it'll still be me if I wrote so carefully. I'm carefree, a wind spirit, I'd rather fly forever in chaos than be tied down by order. I'm so stubborn, bite me. So that's a bit about me and my random topsy-turvy thoughts on writing and why I write... I hope you guys continue supporting and helping me grow.
