LATEST WARNING!

I NOW QUOTE SPAM MODE!!!! :->

UPDATED: A Ranger's Tale has its ratings upped to M due to mature themes and horrific deaths round any/every corner.

Latest note: Reviewing schedule has hit a major blip due to my desktop Windows OS getting a major blip. No problems in random surfing, but all things logging in be it this one or the rest has hit the crapper. Apparently, I'll have to wait for a new PC b/c my dad is way too adamant on delaying that much needed search despite me being the bloke forking out the money anyway. For now, I'll have to settle with my mom's laptop. T_T

26th November: Current round of edit already done.

Correction: FP system revamp has done me a big favour due being able to d/l the existing chapters into the Doc Uploader. :)

Hottest song in my brain now: Unmei no Yoru composed by Kawai Kenji (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works anime movie OST); This Day and Never Again, Fate to Zero; both composed by Kajiura Yuki (Fate/Zero anime OST)

Should have outed this far earlier:

Most heartfelt condolences to all who perished in Hurricane Sandy and victims of the Connecticut gun tragedy.

Currently focused on A Ranger's Tale. The rest are just dwarves to a taller dwarf.

Also I will do an occasional poetry. Works so far:

Four Lives, Four Seasons - My first shot

The Forgotten Song - My tribute to my recently deceased maternal grandmother

The War Song - Inspired by my past as a schoolyard bully victim

Le Océan d'Auguste - Inspired by my trip to the East Coast beach on 9th of August. My gift to my country with that very day being Singapore's National Day

From the beginning freed - A work based on my own self-discovery

Got a blog and an Elfwood account up and running. Now if only the EW mods will hurry up. T_T

Also have an Elftown account as well, but I suspect I just joined for fun.

The story so far: A die-hard Middlesbrough fan who is still going wth over everything March fixtures onward. And is Real headed for an epic collapse that will make Icarus' spectacular plunge look like child's play? Pep, you're one sly son of a gun.

Correction: Real in the recovery phase? We saw what Mourinho has done there. And Pep has bailed out due to burnout. Temporarily that is.

Final Verdict on Real's season: Perez, you'll do well not to repeat that Del Bosque farce. -.-'

LATEST NOTE: CREDIT GOES TO S. JACKS ON THE COVER ILLUSTRATION FOR A RANGER'S TALE. SHOULD HAVE UPPED THIS NOTICE FAR EARLIER. :(

I SHOULD HAVE OUTED THIS:

Now let this be clear: A certain recent event is NOT something wrecked by another person. Rather, I believe things should have been avoided had I put up this very notice beforehand.

SIMPLY PUT, I DO NOT PROFESS MYSELF AS A TOP DRAW WRITER. IF YOU FEEL YOU CAN'T GO ON WITH WHATEVER I'VE WRITTEN IN MY WORKS, PLEASE TELL ME VIA PM. I WON'T BITE AND NEITHER WILL I BLAME ANYBODY EITHER. I'VE CREATED THIS MONSTER, NOW IT'S MY DUTY TO KILL IT OFF. IF ANY ONE OF YOU ALL HAVE A SIMILIAR EXPERIENCE, KNOW THAT YOU'RE NOT ALONE HERE.

Update on the edits for A Ranger's Tale: Round 2.0 KO! (Somewhere in November 2012)

P.S: Mr Solomon Sia and Ms(?) Whirlymerle should get major credit in letting me know that my quest of all things editing has yet to reach its end. :)

Other pack mates of note:

lookingwest (still waiting for Little Bloodbeat despite failure to catch up totally)

Dr Self Destruct (same for Who's Eating Eric Lynch. Dunno your deal on The Angel Kristoph though)

Vivace Assai (waiting for you to go verbal on A Ranger's Tale again)

Dreamers-Requeim (will try to get back to you since I might still be owing you some stuff)

Victoria Best (I still waiting for you to make the correct Terminator quote)

Aspiemor (hey, how's life for you, bro?)

Umekogal (SG history buff nationality wise)

King of Kings (You still * for Sasuke lol? Just j/k)

Tomoyuki Tanaka (best of luck to Blackburn Rovers and your novels.)

faerie-gumdrops (I now see Pikachu on FB lol!)

Loraine Wentworth

Highway Unicorn

seredemia

Chit Chat Cat (otherwise known as Momo and Angelica. Did I get that bloke's name right?)

Agent Frappucino (still remember some of your OTT expressions of friendship)

Palm Tree (hopefully I get the moniker correct b/c memory had just farted. But still you did the best Yaoi plot by far and beyond)

M.R. Hill (I still feel like a bummer where reviews are concerned and now my job has killed off everything. T.T)

BarbieMonster (think I got this right. Glorious Triumph=me now go T_T)

Casey Drake (dunno if moniker has changed)

criti-sized (yes, you! The one and only politically incorrect gal here lol!)

disillusioned (can't be sure whether I got this right due to memory fart)

Erich Sturmburg (will remember you for all fics racing. Plus your purist views on racing lol!)

Alteng (I truly hate my memory bank fart at times. Kobolds in The Known World/A Ranger's Tale=inspired by your Kobolds)

And the list awaits (plus further farting still coming from teh memory bank)

"Farewell friend. I was a thousand times more evil than thou."

Stormbringer (The Elric Saga)

"Rhaegar fought valiantly, Rhaegar fought nobly, Rhaegar fought honorably. And Rhaegar died."

Jorah Mormont (A Song of Ice and Fire)

"In the battlefield, there is no place for hope. What lies there is only cold despair and a sin called victory, built on the pain of the defeated. All those people who met there have wholeheartedly admitted the evil and foolishness of this act called war. As long as people don't repent and don't regard it as the most evil taboo, then hell will endlessly reappear in the world."

Emiya Kiritsugu (Fate/Zero)

I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unaware of loss, Nor aware of gain
Withstood pain to create weapons, waiting for one’s arrival
I have no regrets. This is the only path
My whole life was unlimited blade works

Emiya Shirou (Fate/stay night)

As you will learn, my pride has a very high price indeed.

Elaith Craulnober (Elfshadow)

I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unaware of loss, Nor aware of gain
Withstood pain to create weapons, waiting for one’s arrival
I have no regrets. This is the only path
My whole life was unlimited blade works

Archer (Fate/stay night)

There is a wide world out there, my friend, full of pain, but filled with joy as well. The former keeps you on the path of growth, and the latter makes the journey tolerable.

Montolio "Mooshie" Debrouchee (Sojourn)

They live with the belief that anything is acceptable if you can get away with it, that self-gratification is the most important aspect of existence, and that power comes only to she or he who is strong enough and cunning enough to snatch it from the failing hands of those who no longer deserve it. Compassion has no place in Menzoberranzan, and yet it is compassion, not fear, that brings harmony to most races. It is harmony, working toward shared goals, that precedes greatness.

Drizzt Do'Urden (Homeland)

I am no man's master, nor would I ever want to be.

Drizzt Do'Urden (again!)

Dialogue most BA

Artemis Entreri: I got first blood.
Drizzt Do'Urden: Last counts more.

Spam:

“How can you still count yourself a knight, when you have forsaken every vow you ever swore?"

Jaime reached for the flagon to refill his cup. "So many vows...they make you swear and swear. Defend the king. Obey the king. Keep his secrets. Do his bidding. Your life for his. But obey your father. Love your sister. Protect the innocent. Defend the weak. Respect the gods. Obey the laws. It's too much. No matter what you do, you're forsaking one vow or the other.”

[A Feast for Crows]

“Her name is Brienne,"Jaime said. "Brienne, the maid of Tarth. You are still maiden, I hope?"
Her broad homely face turned red. "Yes."
"Oh, good," Jaime said. "I only rescue maidens.”

That boy had wanted to be Ser Arthur Dayne, but someplace along the way he had become the Smiling Knight instead.

“I learned from the White Bull and Barristan the Bold,” Jaime snapped. “I learned from Ser Arthur Dayne, the Sword of the Morning, who could have slain all five of you with his left hand while he was taking a piss with his right.”

[A Storm of Swords]

"There are no men like me. There's only me. - The Kingslayer"

)0(

“It was that white cloak that soiled me, not the other way around.”

)0(

"I think it passing odd that I am loved by one for a kindness I never did, and reviled by so many for my finest act."

Why Ser Jaime Lannister is so BA

“Don’t call me Lord Snow.”

The dwarf lifted an eyebrow.“Would you rather be called the Imp? Let them see that their words can cut you and you’ll never be free of the mockery. If they want to give you a name take it make it your own. Then they can’t hurt you with it anymore.”

“You are your mother's trueborn son of Lannister."

"Am I?" the dwarf replied, sardonic. "Do tell my lord father. My mother died birthing me, and he's never been sure."

"I don't even know who my mother was," Jon said.

"Some woman, no doubt. Most of them are." He favored Jon with a rueful grin. "Remember this, boy. All dwarfs may be bastards, yet not all bastards need be dwarfs."

And with that he turned and sauntered back into the feast, whistling a tune. When he opened the door, the light from within threw his shadow clear across the yard, and for just a moment Tyrion Lannister stood tall as a king.

[A Game of Thrones]

“Kill the boy, Jon Snow. Winter is almost upon us. Kill the boy and let the man be born.”

Aemon Targaryen

Jon wanted nothing more. No, he had to tell himself, those days are gone. The realization twisted in his belly like a knife. They had chosen him to rule. The Wall was his, and their lives were his as well.A lord may love the men that he commands, he could hear his lord father saying, but he cannot be a friend to them. One day he may need to sit in judgement on them, or send them forth to die.

[A Dance with Dragons]

“Sometimes there is no happy choice, Sam, only one less grievous than the others."

Jon Snow

Burning shafts hissed upward, trailing tongues of fire. Scarecrow brothers tumbled down, black cloaks ablaze. "Snow," an eagle cried, as foemen scuttled up the ice like spiders. Jon was armored in black ice, but his blade burned red in his fist. As the dead men reached the top of the Wall he sent them down to die again. He slew a greybeard and a beardless boy, a giant, a gaunt man with filed teeth, a girl with thick red hair. Too late he recognized Ygritte. She was gone as quick as she’d appeared.

[A Dance with Dragons: Chapter Jon XII]
