Author has written 31 stories for Friendship, Life, General, General, Humor, Nature, and Fantasy.

Previously known as Cyber-Fairy17

I write stories and poems of many kinds.

Naturally it is night.
Under the overturned lute with its
One string I am going my way
Which has a strange sound.

This way the dust, that way the dust.
I listen to both sides
But I keep right on.
I remember the leaves sitting in judgment
And then winter.

I remember the rain with its bundle of roads.
The rain taking all its roads.
Nowhere.

Young as I am, old as I am,
I forget tomorrow, the blind man.
I forget the life among the buried windows.
The eyes in the curtains.
The wall
Growing through the immortelles.
I forget silence
The owner of the smile.

This must be what I wanted to be doing,
Walking at night between the two deserts,
Singing.

-W.S. Merwin

Update (3/24/08)

Yes, it's been awhile. Over four months. I guess you could say I was gone for a hiatus period, although I neglected to say so (that was my bad). No, I haven't forgotten this place: there was a hectic time in November (for National Novel Writing Month) and December (preparing for finals in school). And then in January, and February, and far longer than I expected. My muse decided to crash and burn amidst a lot of issues that have been going on in that thing called 'real life', and the rest of my time has been eaten by the tidal wave of work I've been assigned.

I'm back, at least for the moment. I'm terribly unreliable when it comes to deadlines. But there are a lot of potential pieces that need just a little editing, and then I plan to give them a stretch break from my laptop so they can hang out here.

Working on that pesky writer's block,

-Winter Sun

And now do I realize I'm updating on the fourth anniversary of my stay here. (It's been four years already...?)

NOTE: All my new Joria are posted at my other account, Follower of the Jorio. Information on the jorio poetry form is there.

I will definitely not forget to say that, here, surrounded by all these great writers that are impossibly better than me, I feel intimidated. Oh so very intimidated. But you also inspire me to write something, to go out there and think of things differently, not necessarily in your way, but in my own. I owe you thanks to wherever you are and back.

I try to review back to people who review me (and even the ones who don't ), but I do not always have time. Forgive me if I don't (or take a while to) return the favor!
