"Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities. Truth isn't."

-Mark Twain

Please forgive my stories for being complete and utter nonsense. I'd be the first one to tell you that some of the stuff on here is...well... junk. I start a lot of stories enthusiastically, and then never update them, enthusiastically. Fictionpress is mostly an outlet for stray thoughts/ideas I have. I have no ambitions about being an actual author, I just like entertain myself.

But... that said... if you do happen to read one of my stories and would like me to continue... please let me know by reviewing.

I tend to get discouraged if I don't think anyone is reading, and then I never finish. Why bother if no one is remotely interested in the story?

I will review every person who reviews me. I think it is a common courtesy.

I work very long and hard on my updates and it breaks my little heart when no one notices. I'm sure most of you understand, because it happens to us all on a routine basis.

I like to read and review stories, so if there is something specific you would like me to look at, just let me know. I'm happy to do it!

Now for the rant:

I post on here because I want people's honest opinions and suggestions so that I can revise my work and become a stronger writer. That means B.S. reviews will be promptly deleted. You aren't really helping me by saying, "Gee this is the worst story I've ever read. Your characters are totally unbelievable. Who do you think you are? Rot in hell b ".

These are all actual reviews I've gotten in the past, and they're the mark of someone who is angry and immature. Some people apparently have nothing better to do than rip others down. If you don't like something and want to tell me about it, please do, but I expect an explanation... i.e:"I felt like your character was unbelievable, because, she exhibits alot of conflicting personality traits and doesn't seem to follow any consistent pattern in her actions throughout the story."

I'm too old to deal with adolescent crap. I've been a member of this site for nearly a decade. Some of my stories are really, really old, dating back to 2000. They reflect my youth and high school years. I probably will never update them unless there is extreme interest.
