Hello, my name is Ryan. I am 20 years old and a senior in college in Fort Collins, Colorado. I have always felt the need to convey my stories, experiences, and thoughts through words, because I believe words are the prime source of change in this world. Words are an incredibly powerful link to Wisdom. With Wisdom at hand, one may apply this to everyday situations, acquiring his/her own Virtue in society. Therefore, I believe that it is my duty as a writer to inform others of my struggles with society, myself, and an ultimate quest for acceptance in the eyes of God. I know that everyone is loved by God, but I have also come to accept the fact that as God's children, we must inspire others to Live. Besides my obsession with writing ^^ I am enjoy reading, music, poetry, art, traveling, composing music, politics, and a multitude of language studies. I am currently mastering German, while working on French, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese...oh, and English of course! Either way, learning a new language is an enjoyable and valuable experience for me, and I firmly believe others should take this same path early in life. I hope that my writing herein will contain a special place for your heart, mind, and soul, as I have always intended my writing to not only inspire in Meaning, but also inspire in Time. We must realize there is only one life that we each possess, and in this Time, there is but one Meaning. Thank you for your consideration and time. All comments and feedback are greatly appreciated. Enjoy! "Ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you." --Me
Please feel free to review my poems/stories/ideas, as I would really like to improve my writing abilities! Thanks! If you can take the time do so, please write both the positive and negative aspects of anything I write, which will allow me a clear basis for correction. Good day, my faithful readers. Oh, and I want to make sure that I thank some of my favorite artists who have read and reviewed my pieces thus far! Please check out poems/stories by Matthew James Current; his work is stunning. The poems that he writes are the quintessential types of poems that one can actually relate to--great stuff! Feel free to read and review his listed items.
Ok, I am not going to get down on my knees and beg, but please read and review my poems...I really need the reviews if you haven't already realized. It's become a sort of addiction for me now that I can be openly criticized or praised. Thanks ^^
There are some really great poets on this website who are definitely worth taking a look at, so I suggest that instead of merely writing your own pieces, also take the time to read and review some of FictionPress' greatest authors. However, I truly believe that anyone willing to submit a piece to this site is a great poet in the first place, since the first step is allowing others to read one's pieces. Therefore, I'd say to spend about 15 minutes to an hour at least once a week just reading and enjoying the different aspects that many authors from this site convey. It would especially please me if I knew that every piece someone submits would receive an average of 5 reviews. I know I am most likely boring you with this, or at the least going on some sort of "soap-box drama" with my subtle hints of advice, but I do believe in the rights of authors and the power that literature has to offer. So, go ahead--read as many poems of as many authors as possible and attempt to enjoy every moment; we never know when someone might just write a poem about one of us, long after we have left this mortal coil.
Similar to my great friend and poet Matthew Current, I am more than willing to write a piece for anyone who simply asks me. In fact, I would very much enjoy dedicating a poem to someone out there. Please contact me either through here or my e-mail address if you would be interested in having me write something specifically for your liking. I will do a wide range of subjects from love to anguish, life to death, triumph and tragedy, etc. Just give me a subject or idea and I can take it, bending it to your will's desires. Isn't that what we're here for anyway? To write great poetry?
Oh, and I love repetition. By the way, for the next two weeks I will be experimenting with some new poetic styles and forms; I will also be working with new themes that I've not yet done, so if you have a theme or particular poem that you would like me to write, please tell me. I would be extremely happy to assist my faithful readers in any way possible. And, since you are all so kind and generous to review my poems, I will do my best to review each and every one of your new poems as they arrive on the shelf ^^ Thanks to all of you for making my day worthwhile! Shout out to Darlaka, Merlyn's Apprentice, and PyroWriter for great poetry! Equally, it is important that I mention one of the greatest poet/writers that FPC has to offer: FreethePhoenix. Please read and review her poetry; she is not only a talented writer, but a person whose heart is overwhelmed with pure benevolence and beauty combined. Shout out to her also! Check 'em out. Have a great day/night/week/month/year/decade/score/century/ummm, life/afterlife...and so on. Yeah, read and be merry! Write on!

Another quick thought for the day: Please remember that as a nation of loving people, we need to unite the world again in the name of literature; for, it is our time to live the words again. As funny as it may sound, I am a firm believer that words have far more meaning than actions. You may disagree or agree with me, but I felt the need to express my opinion. Long live Writing!!!
I owe most of this to my great friend and poet, Matthew Current. Thanks buddy. God bless all of you.
Well, I am really glad to be back to writing my poetry again! I have had a great writer's block over the past few months, which has made it quite difficult for me to actually get any of my feelings down on paper. So, forgive me if the next few poems that I publish are somewhat weird ^^ I am going to do my best in the next few months to begin my new style of writing, in which I want to express the overall status of what I believe our current world remains. I've found that stories and poems originating from experiences taken directly from this world we live in, create such strong sentiments from my heart. Also, I want to extend a great thanks to all my readers and fans out there--wherever you are--you've been a great way for me to continue communicating these sometimes odd feelings that we call "poetry."
I will do my best to review as many poems as possible in the coming days. Hope you all have a wonderful winter! Read and enjoy my newest works, as I enjoy anything I ever see from all of you.
