Hey.

I don't have all that much to say.

Psh, that's a total lie. I have a TON to say. One of the things that I have to say is, I'm an overworked, procrastinating high school student who doesn't sleep very much and, as a result, usually has trouble getting her thoughts in order, writing bios, etc. Oh, I just love the American school system. Huzzah. (Note the sarcasm here.)

Name: Maia. RandoMaia. Maianess. Ness. Her Sugar-High-Ness. etc. etc.Age: glares
Location: NYC, and I'm never going anywhere
Orientation: Gee, guess. (Hint: lesbian)
Sex: female
Gender: female
Politically correct?: I try to be about things I care about (see above). But there's no way in HELL I'm calling Indians/Native Americans "First Nation Peoples." XD
Passtimes: Writing, very obviously. Music music music, which is the other part of my life; I sing alto/female tenor, play piano and some cruddy self-taught guitar, and I compose, and I listen to far too much showtunes and classical music. Soccer, when I'm not getting concussions (heh heh... I've had four! but no REAL brain damage yet... hyuck hyuck!). Dungeons and Dragons, which is flippin' awesome. And all things GLBT and left-wing.
Interesting facts about me:

-I'm obsessed with suspended chords, esp. sus4 chords, esp. Vsus4 chords. Mwaha. I'm a music theory geek

-I tend to write either fantasy, or GLBT stuff, or a combination of the two. I also tend to write third person past limited-perspective. Occasionally first person present or past.

-I am a ROGUE! (in D&D, that is.)

-I am a BUFFY fangirl!! Specifically, a WILLOW fangirl. Willow is the COOLEST LESBIAN WITCH I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!

-I listen to madrigals. And choral music in general. A LOT.

-I'm in a band currently, Bear Cavalry. I'm the nerdy-keyboardist-who-isn't-quite-sure-why-she's-hanging-out-with-these-losers.

-I really dislike being condescended to.

-I named most of my musical instruments. As well as my brain cell. I call him Juan

-I have an indecent obsession with internet smileys.

-I procrastinate. A lot. Heh heh...

-I'm a huge geek. A HUGE geek.

-I'm kinda insane. But in a good way

Okay, done with the random facts list. Here's some stuff you should actually know about me and my writing.

I almost always think my own writing is horrible. But (or, and), I'm a feedback whore (). Please, please, please review. Constructive criticism is ALWAYS appreciated. Or, non-constructive reviews. Four words in a review box brighten my day. It doesn't even have to be signed. And don't feel weird about reviewing my older stuff (because sometimes I feel awkward about doing that for other people). This account still very much active, my older writing is still very much valid, and it's just as lonely as everything else. (Just keep in mind that my older writing is a bit less edited, in some cases. My apologies.)

Other that that, I've got nothing to say (except to note that Meaning, Never Dark, and Trust Falls got regional Scholastic gold keys, and that Never Dark and Trust Falls got a silver and a gold at nationals. Heh, I'm proud... it just had to be mentioned ) I hope this is a somewhat-satisfactory bio. I think it's pretty good for someone who needs to be asleep at this very moment as much as me. So, read, PLEASE review, enjoy, and shoot me and e-mail or message if you ever want to chat (I mean this, I love talking to random people, esp. writers), or if you want a beta-reader or editor for you stories. Cheers, and happy reading!
