Perhaps it happened in fairy tale somewhere,
Where a dashing and handsome prince slay a dragon in his lair.
Or maybe it happened when a mirror of glass,
Clear cut and beautiful, told truth of a lass.
Or was it when, in a castle far away,
One thousand and one nights passed, just to live another day.
Or could it have started in that green forest bright,
When a hero of the poor, stole during the night.
Or should it have been that simple servant there,
Who lived a life that seemed so stripped and bare,
Until her fairy god mother came and stepped in,
Transforming and changing into what should have been,
A princess, that is, who attended a ball,
Who lost her glass slipper, but finally found it all.
