"Writing stories is like doing drugs; it's all good shit." Heya! I'm Nausikaa, and I shall be your authoress for this morning/afternoon/evening/middle of the night! My penname was previously Nina, taken from the video game Breath of Fire- but I feel like I no longer identify with her as much as I used to. Nausikaa is a variation of Nausicaa, the Phoecian princess from the Odyssey. She's also from from the comics Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, which I adore. If anyone's interested though, my real name's Christina. The things I enjoy are reading, WRITING -- Pssst, extra important this one... Doodling in margins and reading. In real life I'm kind of shy person, though I like to hope I'm a little bit interesting. I read widely, but I'm also rather picky with what I read. I dislike chick lit and similar genres. Romance tends to get on my nerves. I used to only read fantasy; Garth Nix, William Nicholson, J.K Rowling, C.S Lewis ect. I've now realised that fantasy often only plays with sterotypes and set concepts, so I've been branching out, tentatively, into realism. My favourite books are Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugienes, Ghost Boy by Ian Lawrence and Garth Nix's Shade's Children. Any of my stories under 'Dinner Date with a Vampire' I would be wary of reading. They're old rather old pieces; but I'm a sentimentalist, and can't bear to delete them! Upcoming Projects for fictionpress.com: To the Sky - Fantasy.
