This account consists of the old me and as such will no longer be regularly updated. If you would like to read my new material and are wondering where it is, feel free to email me using the link above and I'll be happy to tell you what my new username is.

Music: depends on my mood -- Evanescence, Avril Lavigne, Mandy Moore, Kelly Clarkson, Anna Nalick

Pets: two cats, Patches and Phantom. Yes, Phantom got his name from the Phantom of the Opera. His face is half black and half white, and the black oval on his back makes him look as though he were wearing a cape.
8/7/07 - Patches has passed away. Our new cat, Jillian Mica, can be seen here.
4/9/05 - Sika got her own account here on fp.com!! Her pseudonym is MoONAleah, and her stuff is good, seriously! Oh, and the review from 'UR BESTEST FRIEND' on my poem Forsaken? Yeah, that's hers too.
9/8/05 - An -x- in front of a poem means it's one I am particularly proud of and/or one I recommend. :-p
12/5/05 - The 'poetry is people' section is a list of songs that remind me of certain people and their situations. If you don't recognize the name of the person, it won't mean anything to you anyway. But if you're curious, click the name and it'll take you to a site with information about that person. Or, if you don't recognize the song but you recognize the person, you can click on the song title for lyrics. NOTE: all names are of fictional characters who happen to be very real to me.
Bio: Blue Mists and Lilies. That's who I am. Every line has a special meaning to me; a connection to a memory, a favorite image or concept, a passion, a secret.
I write what comes to me, whether it comes in the dead of night or in the middle of a math test. I've been asked where I find the words to describe some of the emotions I try to capture on the page; I Write My Words in My Blackest Nights is my attempt at an answer that makes sense. I have an - interesting - writing style. Interesting as in I often write for the words and the emotions, not for material and logic. This means, as might be obvious in my work, that most of the sentences and phrases on their own don't actually make much sense, usually. The idea of my writing is to read the whole poem at once, then sit back and think about it as a whole. You can't break down and analyze each line. I think that destroys the emotion in the words anyway. So that's my warning: don't try to make sense of my poetry. Half the time I can't even understand it.
That's about it, except, thanks to readers, special thanks to reviewers, extra-special thanks to people who have me on their Favorites list. Oh, and if you like fan fiction, I have a page there too, and you can get to it by clicking on the link next to 'homepage.'
Quote of the However Long it Takes Me to Post a New One:
"Sunlight through the trees in summer / Endless masquerading / Like a flower, as the dawn is breaking / The memory is fading / Touch me! / It's so easy to leave me! / All alone with a memory / Of my days in the sun / If you touch me you'll understand what happiness is / Look! / A new day has begun..."
