Welcome to the Hidden Realm of Keltica....
Pen-Name:
Keltica, sometimes credited as The Dagda, Le Sierrois and Wood Huorn or
keltic_chi which refers to the vital force in Taoism and the Keltic
element of my beliefs.
Real Name: Jan Claus
Nationality: Officially
Dutch. My father is Italian and my mother is Dutch. I can claim origins
from 4 different countries, though they usually go back 400 hundred
years : Scotland, Sweden, Germany and Spain.
Date and place of birth: Sierre,
Valais (French Switzerland, Southermost Canton where you can find
Zermatt and Crans-Montana as well) on the 26th of November 1986. I have
indeed reached the fatal age of 18 though I'm not proud of it, I would
have rather spent longer childhood years.
Abode: I live in
Ariccia, tiny village in the Castelli Romani, 20 km east of Rome in the
deep and sacred woods that once where the vast shrine of Diana, or
Artemis.
Currently: University of Geneva, first year of the three, looking towards a bachelor in ancient history and classical archaeology.
True and heartfelt ideals:
1. Nature is my banner, I struggle with the stupidity of
humanity to defend the forests, the natural ecosystems and all animals
that suffer daily from human greed and evil.
2. Poetry as my only medium to express the inner self, the revival of the old styles and the battle against free-verse.
3. Developing
a unique and true philosophy of life, where the individual matters,
nature has a place of honour and frivolities are cast away.
4. New Age, as the movement that approaches the aforementioned view and Wilderness as the other element that makes it all. I am a Protestant Lutheran
however, having abandoned Catholicism for its far too earthly view of
things. The three elements mingle to create my own philosophical and
religious view ofexistence.
I once used to believe in love, but found it to be a lie and a deception, for this reason I have not mentioned it.
Greatest Interests:
1. History: I tend to concentrate on the following periods or
events: Prehistory to Republican Rome (especially deep knowledge in
Celtic society, Early Latin people, Ancient Britain, Persia),
Anglo-SaxonBritain, the Byzantine Empire, Early History of Russia, The
Vikings and Scandivian society between 900 and 1400, the Berbers
struggle with the invading Arabs, Dutch imperialism, South-Africa in
1800,The Great expansion to the West in the United States, India and
Gandhi,Mandela and South Africa.
2. Ecology and Botanics: knowledge of plants and trees, the temperate forest biome etc.
3. World Geography and Geology

May the Keltic Chi be with you, always!
Keltica, the celtic fire from within
Keltica's list of sites to avoid and why:
1.
things such as www.poetry.com, The International Library of Poetry,
Noble's House etc. : They are scams, I was caught as well in that mesh
of delusion. They don't even read your poem before they publish it, if
you send a marmelade ingredients list, they will publish it as well. SO
AVOID IT. I'm still receiving their letters in my mailbox!
2. www.everypoet.org/pffa : an excellent forum in
itself, the problem is that the moderators and members are as cold as
scientists who perform experiments on animals. They will ravage your
work, say it's the worst thing one ever wrote and give you a list of
useless and prolix guidelines so that you may turn into a modern
Shakespeare within a millennium. It's a dictatorship, the mod's
decisions can't be questioned. You're banished if you protest. Join
this forum if you have the guts and if you don't care that your pride
is bashed and your confidence shattered.
