November 1st, 2009: STR has finally been updated!! Yay! I know it's been a long time, but it has been extremely hectic around here. Between school, midterms, fall break, Halloween and musical rehearsal, I've hardly had any time. But it is finally updated. And just to let you know, I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year, so you can expect an entire novel to start being posted in December. Aren't you excited?? Beauty in the Breakdown (NaNoWriMo '09) - writing chapter 1

(ON HIATUS) The Balcony: Evan Cooksey has everything she's always wanted, including an apartment of her own and an internship at the hottest newspaper in the Midwest. Of course, it's never exactly what she expected, but her career as a serious journalist is in the works, so she's willing to overlook a shabby apartment with expectations of a fabulous future. But when she's forced to share her balcony with the smirking, sure-of-himself pretty boy Caleb Hawkings, she realizes that she can never really forget the dark memories that come back to haunt her. She can never go back to the carefree days of her childhood before it all crashed down. But can he help her realize that remembering, accepting and moving on doesn't have to be a bad thing? Can she put the past behind her and make her own future?

(ON HIATUS) Where Everybody Knows Your Name: (this isn't a story about Hollywood or fame.) In the sleepy town of Highland, Minnesota, it's almost impossible for someone to not know who you are. Though the town's population is significantly south of 2,000, the young people of Highland have their own university, where it's even harder to go unnoticed. For several young college students who's lives intertwine, this could be the semester they'll never forget.

(ON HIATUS) Once a Sinner, Always a Star: Two years ago, Thomas Moorehouse was one of the final two contestants trying to win Hannah Snow's affection on a reality dating show. But Hannah's best friend, Eden Holmes, exposed Thomas's lies and deceit, so Hannah chose the other guy, leaving Thomas to become famous in his own right. He was the guy that got duped on national television for lying. Now, Thomas is chosen to appear on another reality dating show, the star of which is Jane Fisher. What he didn't know when he signed on is that Eden is the show's producer. He claims he's turned over a new leaf, and that he's going to be honest this time, but Eden can't bring herself to trust him after he hurt Hannah. Eden discovers that she has some growing up to do herself.

(ON HIATUS) Hate Me, Love You: The deal itself was simple: help each other get the guy/girl. The actual task, however, was pretty difficult when you hated each other. So how was I supposed to set my best friend up with the one person whom I believed to be the devil?

(ON HIATUS) This is Just a Dream: Everything in your life can change in an instant. Becca Worth knows that all too well. From fights with her boyfriend to birthday dinners with her best friend, she never thought too much about what would happen in the future, worrying about living today to the fullest. But in that one instant, she hit the future like a brick wall. In this post-apocalyptic world, she can only strive to survive one day at a time.

Second to the Right: After blacking out and waking up on the beaches of Neverland, Jennifer never would have thought she would meet a bitter, unapologetic Peter Pan, and a gorgeous, charming Captain Hook. What else could have possibly changed since the last stories had been told?

Beauty in the Breakdown: Regan Castrelli wanted nothing but silence. Pure, sweet, deafening silence. She wanted the ability to never stress again. Never worry. Never think. She'd been contemplating this for a long time, but the one thing she had never counted on was him, her guardian angel.
