I first found out I could write something half-way decent when I no longer had the burden of trying to meet others expectations. Then, after reading the excellent yet-to-be-published novels of my friends, I decided that I had a two-fold duty to perform. One was to show that I had hidden analysis skills in reading deeply into subjects that my professors would be completely bewildered at. The second was to give my friends something to read in return.
