My name is Evan Phelps. I am a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps.
I just posted a new story up here that is very near and dear to my heart. It is something I had never been able to put into words before, something I kept inside for over 2 and a half years, and to be honest I teared up at the end as I was writing it. It is truly amazing. Read it and leave reviews. Hint hint
The Story is titled "The Birth Of A Writer"
My old email account stopped working... I don't know how, but it did. I have a new email and feel free to talk to me anytime. It is torsaine@yahoo.com
So, as it turns out I wound up in Iraq at the middle of the month of January. I will be here until late July or early August. I might write more, i might not. I have very little time on my hands out here.
UPDATE: I have now finished book one of The Chaos Triad Trilogy. It is posted in its full finished product. It is still unedited. Once I find proof readers to edit it I will post the final version. Until then check it out and leave some good reviews.
UPDATE: Book two of the Chaos Triad Trilogy is underway. It is snailing along. I have also worked out the basic idea for the plot in both the second book and in the third and final book. It will take a great deal of time, and even if it isn't me who writes the whole thing, it will still be finished.
UPDATE: My laptop has been out of service for over two months, until i got it back the other day. New material is already out and more is on the way.
I have a myspace now. Come check it out. www.myspace.com/torsainestukyoto
The Chaos Triad Trilogy full summary:
For the first time since this great earth of ours began spinning there is one group who can defy all laws of reality, physics, and even the laws of humanity. These three men must team up with each other in order to bring down all that is corrupt within the system of our planets rule. They will embark upon an epic journey of justice, betrayal, corruption, and even love. These men will forever change the way the world functions, but it will come at a price. They to must throw aside their morals in order to create a safe environment for every single person. Some innocent may die, some guilty may be punished, but the evil will be destroyed in an uprising that is not an event to be shunned and ignored, but is to be embraced by all mankind. Three men will sacrifice all that they have in order to provide a future for the human race.
A while back I had a dream that played out as a bizarre and brilliant movie. Although I remember very few of the details the central theme has stuck with me through these many weeks.
I have decided that with a lot of work and a stretch of my imagination I could turn this fleeting idea into an intense and satisfying story. The central idea is as follows:
Ten rich people from varying backgrounds buy their way into a once in a lifetime contest. There is this house that was built to defy the laws of convention, physics, and even reality. The goal is to spend an indeterminable amount of time in this house and to become the first to unlock its many puzzles. Little do the contestants know that once they enter the house they are either marked to live or die based on the way they have lived their lives; the rude and selfish to die, and the selfless and giving to live. They go through this series of daunting tasks to either earn their redemption or seal their fate, yet they don't know the hidden meaning behind it. These tasks involve phantom problems that will test the contestants willingness to help their opponents when their lives are threatened and risk their own safety to do so. Once the time is over and the game is done will the fate of the ten be fulfilled.
I would like opinions on this to see if it is a project worth pursuing or just a weird thought I had once.
