MY OTHER FILE ON FP: Broken Spiral (www.fictionpress.com/~brokenspiral)

Currently, I am interested in the following: historical fiction -- aka 18-19th century, Greek, Civil War, etc; I want to try out new things -- pirates! (I have a fantastic one nestling in my favorites right now. . .go read it!) -- horror -- everyday dramas (think The Office or other sitcoms) -- revamped fairy tales (sort of like S.J. Maas's Queen of Glass... but no one can outwrite her :P) -- any romance/action/mystery/whatever with a TWIST (I'm a cynical, jaded reader who tires of cliches or occasionally falls in love with them. . . so it's a toss up. Still, everyone can appreciate a good, original plot)

About Me:

Name: Chloe.
_Age: 18.
_Religious Affiliation: Atheist. I've been raised by two scientists, so I guess that's the way I go. I find myself very spiritual, however. Feel free to discuss philosophy with me.
_Currently Obsessing Over:The US presidential campaign, string cheese, cross country, college apps, AGH.

_Antoine de Saint-Exupery

"Good writers borrow. Great writers steal." -- I said that, just this morning. Tomorrow, you'll swear it was yours.

"It's useless to hold a person to anything he says while he's in love, drunk, or running for office."

_H. L. Mencken

"When a guy writes a song about you...
He's probably writing them about other girls too."
_Anon

"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly."
_Robert F. Kennedy

"Never go to bed mad. Stay up and fight."
_Phyllis Diller

"There are two things you need in life: something to work toward and something to love."
_Pickles (I forgot the exact quote)

"The first thing to decide before you walk into any negotiation is what to do if the other chap says no."
_Ernest Bevin

"If it's too silly to be said, it can always be sung."
_Voltaire

"Convictions are more dangerous enemies of truth than lies."
_Friedrich Nietzsche

"Style is knowing who you are, what you want to say and not giving a damn."
_Gore Vidal

_George R. R. Martin

"There is only one inborn error, and that is the notion we were born to be happy."
_Schopenhauer

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming...'WOW! What a ride!'"
