My name is Asha M. Night. I'm eighteen years old and have been writing for at least three years. I'll warn, some of my stories are explicit.
Personally, I'm of the gothic persuasion and for a long time had resembled that of a gothic librarian. I just thought that would be an interesting tidbit but it does not matter. I've changed a bit since then. I now have no glasses and have black hair.
My favorite bands include...Lacuna Coil, Moonspell, Tiamat, Type O Negative and the list goes on and could possibly forever...
My favorite shows include, The Simpsons, King of the Hill, Buffy, Angel, King of Queens, Becker and Frasier (I'm addicted, I can admit it).
My favorite movies...Queen of the Damned, Interview With the Vampire, Underworld, Eurotrip,Blade....and the list goes on.
If you would like to know a bit about my past...it is quite interesting if you'd care to find out. I've always been gothic in some way...but I never knew I was until I got into highschool.
A little about my name...Asha is Sanskrit and Arabic and I think afrikans. In Sanskrit it means to hope, wish or desire and in Arabic, it means woman. And the M. in my name is Morena which means dark in spanish. Night is as you read it. Any more questions...just ask.
I now have more things up on my site. I've had the liberty of doing an online interview with male lead singer Andrea Ferro of Lacuna Coil and have many other interesting things on my site. Check it out and possibly join it if you want.
It's been a while since I've updated this. I've been busy and sort of lazy in my writing. I've had a job, a real back breaking job, but I quit it so I would be able to attend college without outside stress. College will be stressful enough. I've added a few songs and stories. And I think that I should give a bit more information about myself besides who I like in music and so on.
I've written for about five to six years. Well in a more professional sense, about three. I began my pursuit in the writing craft when I believe I was about 8 to 10 and couldn't find a way to get beyond the introduction. I also began writing on my first novel, which has been through about four revisions or more. It's in it's final stage, which I mean to say is that I'm not changing it again. It's entitled Immortal Love and anyone who is interested in finding out the plot, e-mail me. I answer all e-mails and would be glad to hear from people who've read my works.
So I guess, I might want to explain my e-mail address. Some people might be curious as to why I chose that. It's a long story. It mainly deals with a previous belief I held and discarded so friviously. If you care to find out more, just ask. Oh and here I'll just give a shorter version of one of the many theorys to it's meaning. I was born at night and it affects me. I feel more alive during the night and I'm from one of the northern states of the union. Yes, I'm a northerner, but I was born in the south. (To those who aren't American. I'm an Americanand I was born in Kentucky a southern state during the Civil War> and was raised in Illinois, where I currently reside until I complete my first two years of college. Illinois was a northern state during the war> From there I'll be going back to the south. Missouri baby!!! Missouri was a southern state during the war.>
