Hmm...I haven't updated my profile besides the bottom part detailing, well,
updates...let's see. My name's Amanda, and the fact that you are
taking the time to read this fills me with much appreciation, although I assure
you, the rest of the site contains words better than this. My friends tell me that my work is great, but they're my
friends...that's what they're supposed to say. People who comment don't seem to
have an issue with my work either, but again...I suppose it's a
writer's curse: you're never pleased with your own work. Pieces that I used to
want to tattoo across my chest and say proudly, "Yeah, I wrote that,"
I know want to rip to shreds. smiles I suppose it means my writing is developing,
which is a good thing I suppose, but it means that all of my old works need
revised. Like Pressure Point High. Intriguing plot...absolutely
dreadful writing. laughs I'm going to be revising it, no worries. For the
best display of what my writing is like as of this update (Erm...October 17th,
2005, 4:16AM if you were curious), read Hidden Rain. It's my favorite work so
far, and hey, I may even finish this one.
My mind wanders and stories come to me all the time, but my life is a busy one. I hope that this inspirational phase I'm going
through continues, but I can't swear by anything. For all my faithful readers that
have stuck by me this long...can't tell you how much it means to me. You guys
are the inspiration to my writing more often than you think.
Well, seeing as I have school in the morning and probably still have
homework that I've put off for this long, I'll be going.
To my fellow readers out there, expand your horizons, broaden your minds, and
you'll be surprised just how much you'll learn. And do my fellow writers...may
your inspiration keep shining and your ink keep flowing, because you are the
beacons of this world. Educate somebody.

UPDATE 10/24/2004: Extended the third chapter to Hidden Rain, called Hidden Kiss,
by about 2 pages. It wasn't actually done the first time, I knew that it
wasn't, and I've finally gotten down and finished it.
UPDATE 10/24/2004: Wrote and posted the fifth chapter to Hidden Rain, called
Hidden Blankets. It's a short one, but I think it's still pretty good, at least
in terms of my writing, which isn't saying much.
UPDATE SOON 10/31/2004: First of all, happy Samhain! Halloween to all of the
normal folks out there. Anyway, I've finished chapter 7 and I just need to
finish chapter 6 that way I can post them both...I don't know why I wrote them
out of order this time, but that's just the way it worked out. shrugs Anyway,
I'm close to finishing chapter 6 (damn writer's block), so look out for
chapters 6 and 7 soon!
UPDATE 11/1/2004: I was finished with both chapters yesterday, but I didn't
manage to get a chance to post them. Anyway, I've posted them today, so enjoy
as soon as the site updates. Hopefully you'll enjoy them. I personally like the
nightmare scene in chapter 7, but anyway...well, chapter 6 needs revision in my
opinion, so I may work on revising chapters 4 and 6 before writing chapter 8. All
depends on what happens when. School's quite busy, you know.
UPDATE 11/2/2004: Chapter 6 and 7 have been proofread and fixed up. I think
I fixed up most of the kinks, but I still need to revise 6.
UPDATE 11/8/04: I added a new poem, called Undesired Truth. I think it turned
out pretty well. I wrote it during the last 10 minutes of German, so
considering those circumstances I suppose it isn't too shabby.
UPDATE 11/9/04: PRESSURE POINT HIGH COMPLETE-almost. Yeah, I'm sorry about
taking so long to finish that up. I've been so focused on Hidden Rain that I never
thought to get back around to finish uploading chapters on Pressure Point High.
Many thanks to AllyCred, who reminded me of this story in a review. Anyway, I
have to warn everybody. I've changed the set up of the chapters. There are
subchapters in each one, but now the story only has 6 chapters total-one for
each day that the story takes place during. Each subchapter is clearly divided
with asterisks, so no worries. Anyway...I haven't gotten around to cleaning up
the format and the rest of the typos and such yet. I'll fix up the format
tonight most likely and post it tomorrow (I'm not allowed to get on
Fictionpress at home anymore because my mom thinks it may have spyware...damn,
but I think she's checking it out today) all reformatted-spaces in between paragraphs
and everything, and I think I'm going to do some experimenting with italicizing
since PPH uses insane amounts of it to symbolize thought, but I'm going to be putting
PPH through some serious revision (I wrote this a year ago, and I've matured
immensely as a writer. Certain things about the way PPH was written actually
embarrass me now, but it could just be me being my worst critic...Ugh, anyway, I'm
going to stop typing in circles now. Just now that PPH is up in full and ready
for all those who would like to finish up.

I'm sorry for the wait that you all had to go through for chapters 8 and
9...I've been so busy lately, and I've been having a few problems, so I just
haven't been in the mood to write. Actually, I owe it to Mandie mostly for the
return, she reviewed Hidden Rain and inspired me to start up again. I'm working
on chapter 10 right now, so hopefully you'll see that soon. _ Thanks to everybody
who's stuck by me this long!
UPDATE 1/3/2005: First of all, Happy New Years! Hopefully 2005 will bring
you all wonderful inspirations, both in your writings and in your lives. _
Anyway...chapter 10 to Hidden Rain is now up. This one's called Hidden Letter.
It's a very in depth look at Lain's mind frame...there's a few curses here and
there, but they were meant for realism, to add emotion to the moment. I don't
put curses in my stories for stupid reasons, I consider that vulgar.
Anyway...enjoy_ I have a few different chapters for this story started, now
I just need to decide which one ought to be next and finish that one up. Keep
an eye out for chapter 11. _
UPDATE 2/11/2005: Bah, I've been so damn busy lately...I'm sorry that it's
been taking this long for me to get chapter after chapter up, I really am.
School's working me to the bone, I can tell you that much, and I've been having
trouble finding the time or the energy. But don't worry, I haven't given up on
my writing! Chapter 11 of Hidden Rain is up; this one's called Hidden Excursion.
I hope you like it. I finally introduced a new aspect into the confusion of the
relationship that I've been meaning to do for awhile now, but just haven't had
the time. Thank you to all of my readers who have made it this far and are
still reading!
UPDATE 2/19/2005: Yeah, still busy with school, but I managed to crank out another
chapter for y'all. Chapter 12 to Hidden Rain is now up: Another Hidden Letter.
Yay. I hope that you like this one, even though it's short. It's still another
one that did a bit of yanking on the ole heartstrings for me to write...heh,
anyway, y'all have a nice weekend, and hopefully I'll have another chapter up
soon.
UPDATE: 4/24/2005: Well, I got up a biographical piece I wrote, titled Who
Am I? Unfortunately, I've been going through a bout of depression, which hasn't
just seemed to bring the rest of my life to a halt, but packs a mighty punch of
writer's block. sighs I'm trying to work through it for you all though, and
I've started Chapter 13.
8/6/2005: Wow, when I look back to my last update, it's scary. I've been
going through a lot these past months...dealing with MDD, girlfriend problems, and
the like, but my life has settled down, and lately I've been trying to work
back into writing. I've started on another chapter for Hidden Rain, and I'm
going to be revising Pressure Point High as well, so I really hope this all
works out...and that I keep my desire for writing. I miss it a lot, I miss
being able to have new works to my name, and I just miss writing period, so
I'll be doing my best to keep at it. For all of you that'll keep reading, even
after my several month long hiatus, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
Simply cannot tell you.
UPDATE: 10/15/2005: Hehe, school and all, everything's been so crazy. It's
just so hard to get inspired lately, and then when I do write something,
I never type it up and get it on my site. Hehehe, my poor account, it's been
rather neglected. Well...I've added three poems. They're a new writing style
that I picked up for some inexplicable reason, but yeah...and then there's another
chapter to Hidden Rain. Sorry it's so short, but I couldn't sleep and felt
inspired, and that's just what came. Enjoy if you can. blahs

10/17/2005: O_O Holy shit. Hidden Rain has been up for more than a year.
smacks her forehead Amazing...I can't believe I began it that long ago. It really
hasn't made too much progress over the past year, only 14 chapters as of yet,
but I hope the quality of them makes up for it. shrugs C'est la vie. Maybe
I'll finish it sometime within the next year. grins ...or not. We'll see.

I already have 2 reviews as I'm writing this, within 15 minutes of
posting it. XD I'm so pathetic...but I'm easily excited by reviews
because I never get them. _ Anyway, I have a lab report for Chem to
do, along with a German project to finish, so I suppose I'm off. I'll
try to get around to updating in return when I'm less swamped with
homework. ;_; Oh, and another thing...for some reason, my profile has
made itself align with the left side of the page...I tried changing it
and it didn't work either times, so I suppose I'll just be leaving it
like this until I figure something out. shrugs
UPDATE: 12/3/2005: I revised and replaced chapter 5 of Hidden Rain. I'm going to be working on revising some old chapters, mostly because I have writer's block. ;_;
UPDATE: 3/6/2006: I've finally updated Hidden Rain! There's a new chapter Hidden Rides for all you dedicated readers (whichever ones are still out there) to enjoy. Review and let me know what you think! I apologize for the wait, I've had a horrible case of writer's block that I'm trying to fight.
