Update Notes:

UPDATE: June 29, 2008 - Ira and the Sirens - Chapter Fifteen now playing. It's about time. Sorry it took so long, guys, I've been working. This 'uns dedicated to Aika101, who used to get very mad at me for updating too fast for her to keep up, and now has had to wait so long for this one. Careful what you wish for, hun. ;)

UPDATE: June 2, 2008 - Murphy's Law - Chapter Three is up, and dedicated to the new reviewers directed in from the c2 "Yaoi for All" to which Murphy's Law has been added. Squee! Enjoyses.

UPDATE: June 1, 2008 - Dirty South- Chapter Four is now playing, dedicated to my darling anonymous reviewer "rawr", who has now read (I think) all of my stories. I enjoy his/her reviews thoroughly. A mini-dedication as well to The Pixess who asked for an endorsement I forgot to give.

UPDATE: May 27, 2008 - Ira and the Sirens - Chapter Fourteen, of course. But enough about that. Homigosh! 100-plus reviews?! This chapter is dedicated to the lovely imaginary loon, giver of the 100th review!

About Me

Aw, shucks. About me? InSilverShadows. Seventeen years old. Mysteriously androgynous over the Internet, trying very hard to develop the writing, but too nostalgically-minded to delete the old stories for the sake of rereading the reviews. Interests include the history of Slavic countries, drawing comics that never get finished, worrying about making it into prime art-schools' summer programs. Feels a little ashamed to post here because true objective in life is majoring in animation and going on to work busily and neurotically drawing the same things over and over again. Favorite writers include Voltaire, Dante, Heller, Pratchett, and Vonnegut. Favorite books include Heller's Catch-22 and Knowles' A Separate Peace. Dislikes syringes, doctors, and cliches, though will admit to having written some in the past. Enjoys correcting teachers, sarcasm, and cats. Best friend is Banane. Musical interests of late include Franz Ferdinand, Jack Johnson, The Shins, The Fruit Bats, We Are Scientists, Moth, Luka Bloom, and Modest Mouse.

Dual account with Banane for cowritten stories: http://www.fictionpress.com/~bananeshadows

FanFiction.net (Empire Records and A Separate Peace slash): joska the gypsy

RECOMMENDATIONS ON FICTIONPRESS --> Film by Banane "Film captures lots of things, from my best friend’s sixty-minute porn career, to the brutal murders that plagued our small town the summer before my senior year, starting the night after the biggest party that any of us had ever had. Slash MM" It's the best story I've read in a long time.

If you care so much you need know more, read a story of mine and review it and perhaps we'll strike up a friendship.

I return reviews. ;)

Now Playing (Full Summaries)

Ira and the Sirens - (14 chapters; last updated 5-27-08.) When seventeen-year-old Ira washes up on shore half dead after a storm, rumors start to fly about the Sirens, mysterious creatures that fiercely terrorize the coastal oceans. When Ira gets curious about his rescue, the answer pulls him right in by his shirt--and he finds himself looking right into the eyes of a Siren. Now, stuck with the attraction of his new unlikely friend and the reluctant help of a fisherman, he's the only one who can sort out a murder on the seas before it happens again.

Murphy's Law - (3 chapters; last updated 6-2-08.) Marshall Murphy, a pill-popping, nerve-wracked honor student who's been forced to move to the big city, thought things couldn't get any worse than they were right now. But everything that can go wrong does go wrong when he and a chatty, flirtatious Romanian pop star who has a fondness for running away from his bodyguards see something they shouldn't and are dragged into the dangerous world of high-end New York drug rings. Of course, Marshall's attraction to his new friend won't help it along. -SLASH-

Dirty South - (4 chapters, last updated 6-1-08.) A corporate city-slicker Yankee buys a house down in the deep South and meets a charmingly offbeat Southern boy who shows him just how refreshing a simple life can be. But rolling scenery isn't enough to smooth things over when the boy's beloved farm is put up for sale, and the Yankee's company is looking to build a factory there. -SLASH-

Propaganda - (3 chapters; last updated 3-31-08.) World War II is over, but hatred still runs deep, and words can turn any mind against another. A Catholic schoolboy returns home to Scotland for a dreaded Christmas holiday with his widower father, thinking it to be the worst possible fate he could have. His father isn't thrilled about the occasion either. But after unexpected tragedy ruins the holiday, they must come to terms with what each truly thinks of his only remaining family.
