Author has written 18 stories for Life, General, Family, Romance, Biography, General, Friendship, and Religion. Okay, so I have been seriously considering rewriting Better Than Burroughs. It would be a big task and I'm not sure if I would be able to make it through the entire rewrite. At this point, I probably won't be able to properly do it. School is starting up at the end up the month and what time I have to write I'm fairly certain I'll want to write other things. This rewrite would take a lot of time. But I am thinking about it so if any of you think it's a good idea and have any tips, feel free to share. A special thank you to B.Penn for giving me a wonderful new BTB summary! BTB won the Judges Pick for Best M-Rated Unfinished story at the SKOW awards. I'm completely shocked that it won something. Thank you so much to those of you who actually voted for it and thank you to the lovely judges who picked it out of the lineup! 2.2.08: Writing Class has been nominated for Best Chemistry Complete story at the SKOW awards. That's pretty great. It was lovely news to recieve upon returning from a funeral. Made me smile. Thank you to everyone who threw my name into the pot! 3.16.08: Writing Class actually won. That was a bit of a shocker, I must admit. Thank you to all of you lovely people who voted for it. Thank you! 5.26.08: BTB is complete and I deeply thank all of you who stuck with it through the terrible long gaps between updates. I don't foresee myself posting anything new on this site but I am working on posting another update on BTB which will be unused material from the course of writing the story. I have to sift through all the many documents I have saved and try to put them in order they would have been if they had been used. That should be done by the end of the week but no guarantees. 5.30.08: The extra BTB material will take a bit longer than I stated above. My four month old brand new laptop decided to quit working everytime I turn it on. Within one minute of being on, it completely freezes and I'm left with nothing to do on it but stare at Daniel Craig on my wallpaper and while that is nice because let's face it, you can get lost in those damn eyes of his, it seriously puts a damper on any writing activity. All of my files are on there and yes, I know I should backup but I just don't ever get around to it. I hope to get it in to get fixed by Monday. 6.21.08: The extras are up. I don't think there are any more that survived my computer 'restoration'. Thank you to everyone who read and reviewed (and those who are still reading and reviewing) BTB. 6.26.08: BTB has been nominated for the category of Best Lover's Spat (for chapters 33-39) over at the SKoW Awards. That specific category is pretty unexpected because it spans the whole end of the story so thanks so much to everyone who nominated me. You are all lovely people and I greatly appreciate your kindness. 12.15.08: I am sort of starting a new longer story told from the point of view of a character much like the girl in Greetings To The New Brunette (which was sort of a writing exercise to see if I liked her and could write her). Don't expect this story to be posted anytime soon, I want to make sure I know what I'm going to do with it before I post anything, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I am writing. This past semester threatened to suck out my soul but it's over with now. I hope to get some major writing in over the break, before the next soul sucking semester begins. Hope everyone is well and happy holidays! 1.8.09: Hope everyone had a grand New Years. Firstly, changed my mind on doing the story mentioned directly above. Just sort of lost interest in the idea. I have a very short attention span. Secondly, does anyone know of some neat places to see and things to do in Ireland? Besides the touristy stuff (although if you know of a great tourist spot, feel free to mention it). I'll be staying in Dublin (I believe it'll be in the hotel - blanked on the name - across the way from Oscar Wilde's childhood home. I'm a complete nerd because that's absolutely gloat worthy for me) for a week over my Spring Break at the end of March, beginning of April. My friend and I are planning on meandering about the entire island though so any place is good. I had been hoping to catch a Dyan Moran show but I believe he'll be in Australia. I finally plan a trip to Ireland and that bastard won't be around. Figures. So, anyhoo. All you globetrotters and Ireland inhabitants, PM me with goodie lists (even if your list consists of your favorite record shop. Especially if you know of great record shops. If you've read my stories, you should know that vinyl and a book is my idea of stimulation). Also, no meat for me. Know of any great and cheap veggie places? Looking for a Beta for a story I just wrote in response to a SKoW challenge. PM me if you're interested. | |||||||||
