Yo.

The name's Callie, though I go by "Teh Captain"

I'm 17 years old, a senior in high school, and mostly confused about my life and where it might be going. I want to be an animator, but I don't have the patience to finish anything. I want to be a writer, but I don't have the patience to finish anything. I want to be an artist, but I don't have the patience to finish anything. I want to be a teacher, but I'm not sure if it's just because I am totally and completely infatuated with mine. I want to travel the world, but because I never have the patience to finish anything, I will probably never make enough money to. I'm diagnosed 'Bipolar' but I hope one day, they'll figure out they need to give me something to concentrate, not to help control my moods. I'm an insomniac. Every month or so, my current meds wear off and I go on a 'sleep 2 hours a night on weekdays, sleep 14 hours on weekends' kind of schedule. A lot of my writing comes out of these episodes. As much as I wish I could sleep, I know I don't because I hate it so much.

I like hanging out with my friends when I get the chance, watching movies, listening to music, normal teenage kid stuff. I'm in a playwright workshop called "Young Playwrights of the Roundtable" at Coterie Theatre, where about 20-30 kids make it in from the KC metro area. I love technical theatre but I'm just learning; I mostly do all the painting. I like acting but I don't have much confidence once I step on stage; a complete opposite from who I am off of it. I love reading and anime and manga. I love school, but lately I've been doing pretty crappily in it. It's more of a second (first) home to me. I want to go to college in Boston. Really badly. Pearl Jam is one of my all time favorite bands ever and if you don't like them you can go suck it.

That's about all I got.

Sometimes, I wish I had a moose. But only sometimes. Most of the time I wish for an armadillo.
