My name is Charlotte and I am 17 years old.

My favourite books are Jane Eyre, White Oleander, Pride and Prejudice,1984, The Bell Jar, Catcher in the Rye, Diary of Anne Frank, His Dark Materials trilogy, Lord of the Rings, Middlesex, the Virgin Suicides, the Fountainhead.

I began writing to try to describe what I was feeling. And, as what my stuff on fictionpress demonstrates, that is mostly what I end up writing. The thing I love most about reading (novels or other) is how I feel I can relate to what I am reading, it makes me feel less alone in the world. So while I don't want to be an author for a career, I do have a dream of writing a novel that someone can relate to.

I try to read lots of different stories and review them. I usually try to say something constructive in my reviews, other than just 'Good. Update soon!' but if I do write that to you it means that your story is really good and at the moment I can't find anything wrong with it. Take it as a compliment.

Nothing Else Matters: I would like to continue with this but I'm not sure I have the confidence or inspiration to finish it. It was based on my real life and it was hard for me to write. So for now it is a one-shot.

Punishing Myself:This is based on my cutting and the type of scenario that ran through my head everyday, especially right before the weekends. It is a one-shot.

Big-Sky Country: During the summer, the one right before senior year, I had to move across the country. This is based on my first month here and how painful it has been for me.

Snow on the Mountains: This was inspired while sitting in History class and looking out the window towards the mountains with new snow on them. I would really like to continue it but I think that it is more powerful as a one-shot.
