| Rikku Abdul |
Author has written 5 stories for Humor, Life, General, and Young Adult. Name: Lindsey Date of Birth: 12/01/91 "Oh, wow... hey, is that edible?" - Rikku from FFX, in reference to a giant blob monster (A Dark Flan, for those of you who are familiar with the game.) And Now For Some Completely Random Stuff About Me Now, when most people do this, they say perfectly normal things, but not me!... Okay, some of it is normal, I suppose, but the rest of this will make you question whether or not I am insane. But if you don't want to read it, then don't. You have been warned. Okay, here goes. I have been credited by Java Bean (whom I know in real life) for being able to imitate Presea from Tales of Symphonia - which is a really good RPG for the Gamecube. I like singing. So there. I like all kinds of music. I also like acting. I have four dogs. yes, four. Count em - 1, 2, 3, 4! Three are fairly large and the other is a little one. It looks similar to a drowned rat when it gets wet. One of the larger ones is a spaz, another is sweet but not so smart (Java Bean and I would probably compare her to Peach from Nintendo games - long story, and remember; don't ask...) The other is my only male dog. Someday I would like to learn Japanese. Not just know little random words and phrases and how to say boring stuff like "Hello, how are you today?" but actually speak it. I can pronounce any Japanese words I come across, and even pull off the accent, but I haven't really grasped the concept- I can't form a sentence, for example. At this point you are most likely saying, "What makes you think I'm interested in your hideously BORING life?" Well, nothing should make you interested in it. It's not interesting at all. You DID choose to read this, remember? Therefore, if you find yourself wanting to hunt me down with torches in hand, don't blame me. I had only the purest intent. I'm merely bored and looking for something to do. I also like typing, which is probably why I'm wasting my spare time typing in my profile that I'm sure no one's actually reading... what was I thinking? Don't mind me - I'm sugar high off Vanilla Coke. Actually, I don't drink it that often anymore, since it's not good for you (though I wish it was) and I don't have huge stockpiles of it like I claim to (although I wish I did) I do need caffeine, though... Selah Ex Animo (that's SEE-luh, to anyone who's wondering, although alternate sources say it's SAY-luh) How can I even begin to explain this... Well, she was the first one to review my story, and so I went and reviewed all her stuff, partially as a great big thank you, and partially because I had a hunch she was probably a pretty darn good writer. How did I know this? I could tell by looking at the review. Seriously, Selah has the vocabulary of the whole dang Webster's Dictionary! Sometimes I find myself having to look up the words she uses in her reviews, let alone her story. But that's just me... I'm going to give Selah the Best Reviewer EVER reward, just cuz... well, look at something she reviewed and you'll know. All of her stuff is pretty darn good, but I love her poetry most of all. I haven't seen much of her around here lately, but I'm sure she'll come back eventually. She's probably busy with school andthe anticipation ofthe release of the new Zelda game. ^^ Also, there is a fantasy story called Null. I have yet to read it all the way through, but it's very good. I highly recommend it. I've recently found an author called Limyaael on this site. An inactive account, but for good reasons stated clearly in the profile. The old stories are all still posted, and I highly recommend reading them if you're looking for a few good fantasy stories. They're probably the best fantasy fictions I've seen here so far. Limyaael also posts "rants" on Livejournal on fantasy and all of the different components. They're rather useful, and even if there are some that aren't as useful as others, many are fun to read anyhow. All right. I doubt many of you are actually checking here anymore, because I've been so darn inactive as of late. I decided to post here anyway, though, just incase anyone is checking. I've removed many things from here; my poems are most of what's left. Some projects seem to have died out, such as The Thirteenth Floor, which was co-written with my friend and came from some random burst of inspiration that burned out quickly. Others have been totally scrapped; if anyone remembers Secrets of Time Long Past, the first story I posted and complete essence of crap, I can tell you that it's mostly dead. Some of the characters still live for different stories I will write, and others are just gone. Some stories have just been put away for some other time when I feel like picking at them and starting anew--Stealing Back Tomorrow, for example. I took them down mostly because I don't like leaving things up for long periods of time without updating. Although a majority of my stuff is crappy and likely has few perusers, I just don't like to leave things here without any promise of getting back to work on them soon. I do have new ideas; I have multiple plans for fantasy stories, and a realistic fiction as well. I won't be posting much anything new soon, but I hope to get back on track soon. | |||||
