Updates

Ok, so much for updating.
My excuse is as usual, life getting in the way again. =/
Simply put, JC (junior college) life is much much busier than I expected. My workload's insane, I'm leaving the house at 6.30am every morning and getting home at 7-8pm every night, and the rest of the time, I'm either rushing through my work or being too exhausted to do anything else. And it keeps getting crazier. So writing's going to have to take a backseat for now...and meanwhile, I'll try to improve as a writer (yes, I'm aware that I'm not that brilliant in the first place)
I'll definitely return to FP.com one day, when life gets easier. And I earn a few more hours a day, heh. Until then, I'm putting everything on indefinite hiatus. Sorry, and thanks for all the support you guys have given me in the past!
On a random note, I'm thinking of participating in this year's NaNoWriMo, haha. Insane, but at least it'll get me writing again, and I need the practice. =D

I just received a review on When in Russia, Do As the Russians Do...asking whether it's discontinued. Honestly, I'm not even too sure myself.
Anyway, here's my excuse for my lack of updates. I've been really busy for school since it's my final year. And during May, I've had my mid-year exams. A month's break, which was spent mugging. Then another exam, this time my prelims, which is more important than my mid-years. Another month worth of break, which was spent doing some serious mugging. And from the 17th of October, I've started my GCE O' Levels. Ahhhhhhh. Hence the lonnnng break from writing.
Yup, so I'll finish all my exams by 17th Nov. What follows will be undoubtly many weeks of recuperating from exam stress and mugging, ie, probably no writing again. But I'll be quite free until...about March next year, which is when I'll start my 3rd phase of education (bleah)...which means I'll have plenty of time to get my lazy self to pick up my writing again.
But still, if I do continue When in Russia, Do As the Russians Do, I'll spend some time doing some heavy edits, basically rewriting the earlier chapters of the story (I hate the early chapters. Can you tell? I still cringe when I read it. Meh) . And I'll have to dig through my notebooks to refresh my memory of where I was planning to go with the story, the characters, etc. Sooooo...probably not much updates for a while. Also...I've been toying with a new idea of a story. Actually, I've been thinking about it for about 3 months now, but I haven't had much time to build on it, so that's another potential thing to distract me. Ehehe. The new story's tentatively named "Fata Morgana", by the way.
Therefore. When in Russia, Do As the Russians Do = not discontinued. For now, anyway. We'll see how things go.
So, that was a recap of my not-so-interesting year so far. This is just for anyone who's curious about how the story's going, anyway.
On a side-note, I've decided to discontinue Stella Polaris, for obvious reasons. I love the title though! So pretty.

Reccomendations:
All the stories under my Favorites Stories are worth a read. I'm a really really picky reader, and I assure you, for me to actually put them on my Favorites list, it means that they are really, really good.
However, my personal favourites (the elite, basically) are as follows, in no particular order :
Firebird by JC Jaquez
Queen of Glass by S.J.Maas
Cat's Eye by CM Tryst
(I don't usually recommend alot of fanfics, but this is really good)
The Lion and the Lamb by Alphie, which is a retelling of the book Twilight from Edward's view.
Seriously. I vouch for their wow-ness. These are truly the few stories thatI can't wait to see published.
Plugs to:
Serana- Lol...a fellow over-obsessed reader. =) Her 2 stories (refer to my favourite stories) Life in Turmoil and the Amistad are awesome...go read!
im Lichterglanz erstrahlen- An infruriatingly good poet, when I can't rhyme for nuts. Her poems are really good...very deep, and very sincere. Go read too=)
Note on reviews:
Ok...I really appreciate reviews, and I know how it is like waiting to get reviews =) Anyway, if you review any of my stuff, as a general rule, I will usually review back. Of course, that is unless I am either to swamped with tests/homework/exam/projects, or your story is not the type of genre I usually read. Anyhow, I still try to review at least one of your stories or poems =) ... depending on whether I have the time to read through a whole story, or a poem, of course.
