But after ruining her chances, she finds herself working on the streets late one night and encounters a strange being known as the Bete Noire. Satan's inner circle, so to speak, wandering around Nelshire - but in search of what? She doesn't get an answer right away, but the devil himself gives her a visit and bestows upon her a task. If she can't complete it in seven days, she will become a Bete Noire and serve Satan until she is replaced...what she doesn't expect, is when her assignment turns her life upside-down. PG-13

CYNOPOLIS (rewritten)

Summary: After a trip to the museum, Di becomes paranoid because of the black jackal sculpture the new exhibit contained. Then for some reason, Di's mother decides to get another dog - the one they adopt is the oddest one of them all!
