Just a student taking a year off to decide what and where he is going to go. Hawai'i looks good. No serious. I've been accepted to the Uni of Hawaii but I am dragging my heels. Working on a story that takes place in Hilo, Hawaii. Doing research on the place before I move there, might as well put that knowledge to use somewhere.
I am a naturalist and a wannabe botanist. Or at least I pretend to be. Grew up in Ann Arbor, one of the most liberal and tech oriented cities in the whole wide union, to find that I want to be a freaking farmer. Life is hilariously cruel. So I am whisking myself away to Hawai'i to get a degree in Tropical Horticulture and/or Agroecology.
I spend most of my free time (and there is a lot of it) reading, writing, hiking, drawing (in my nature journal), and collecting mushrooms. No, not shrooms. Mushrooms. I know what you are thinking :tsk tsk:. Quirks include: Being read too, the waving of arms animatedly whilst talking, and piercings.
Moon Meets Sun: I worked hard on that, to pick and choose the right words to convey the sun engulfing the moon in her red supernova plume of destruction and rebirth. It's my second real attempt at poetry and while it may not follow any set standard or style, I don't feel thats it is that far off. It's within the confines of poetry in my opinion.
My Math Teacher: Is an embarssment. It was a first stab, and I couldn't let it go. Try as I might (and want to) it just wouldn't disapear. I tweaked it a bit (lot) and will be storing it on the website. More as a reminder of what not to do I suppose :)
