oneword: puddle. i was so afraid to touch you the smile on your face was so volatile, so rare that i knew it could turn into something as faded & hopeless as a butterfly in a puddle filled with gravel.
don't like this much. everything in my head is jumping like an electrical impulse from dendrite to synaptic knob in the nerves all over my body & maybe secretly there's some resistance, but it's not something i would willingly mention.
