Author has written 22 stories for Fantasy, General, Romance, Horror, Sci-Fi, Mythology, and Fable. Hello. I'm Toki, and welcome to the little page where all of the inner workings of my twisted mind will be revealed to you as you dive into the dark abyss of my imaginings. Enjoy your journey. Who am I?: 20 years old and a college junior whose been writing for going on eight years or so. I'm a Modern Language and Linguistics major, and I'm competent at French and maybe passable at Mandarin Chinese, with a smattering of German and Japanese. Favorite Books: Any and all things by Garth Nix, the Harry Potter septology, the Enchanted Forest Chronicles and pretty much everything I've read by Neil Gaiman. Also, Charlaine Harris writes great books for when you want something fun, suspenseful and even a little sexy. Favorite Movies: Classic Disney films, Tim Burton movies. I also love anything by Studio Ghibli. Favorite Video Games: Fire Emblem, Baten Kaitos (both), Tales of series, Persona 2, 3 & 4, Pokemon, and TES V: Skyrim Favorite Manga: I enjoy manga by CLAMP, as well as After School Nightmare by Setona Mizushiro. I also read a lot of scattered yaoi oneshots and short series that are far too numerous to list, but Naono Bohra is my favorite yaoi mangaka. Favorite Music: I love The Dresden Dolls, Within Temptation, and Voltaire. I also am a big fan of Nightwish, Epica and Kamelot (b-but Khan left! /cry) Throw some dark Vocaloids in there, and you have my iPod. Oh,am I boring you? ...oh well. Story Status What I Like to Do - A little girl tells about visiting her grandpas in the hospital; her "special" grandpas. The Exodus of Spring - A short retelling of the "Rape" of Persephone. The Fossegrim's Brook - A short story/fairy tale I wrote in response to a literary prompt. I quite liked it, so up here it goes. The Chronicles of Psyche - A retelling of the old myth/legend/fairy tale about Eros/Cupid and Psyche. And Psyche also tells a few stories about what happens after her "happy ending". Mortality - Inspired by the death of a classmate and Within Temptation's Final Destination. Stratagem - And this one is the novel that What Have You Done? is the teaser for. My first dip into the sci-fi genre, although I feel like Garth Nix in the sense that even in a "sci-fi" story, there will still be fantasy aspects. Sadly, I'm going to have to scrap the current draft and replot the whole thing, because it's too scattered and incoherent as is. So, 'tis with a heavy heart that this project going into indefinite hiatus. I'm hoping some creative writing courses will help me get it back on track. Non Scordate Mai - Third and final in "Fata" series. Thanks to a review on Mali from BrookeAshlyn, currently finished and being posted. A Mali Estremi, Estremi Rimedi - Sequel to Fata. Finished and being edited. La Fata Morgana - With this story, I will try to combine mythical creatures and romance in a way that doesn't include vampires or werewolves (well, they exist, but have little role). And I will basically redefine gryphons, cuz that was the dream, yo. ...my dreams rock. It's another romantic story, but hopefully a readable one. Finished, but in editing. Superior - Related to Winter, but could also be read as a stand alone. It's only a novella, and it will probably only be 3-5 parts, but it will give some very interesting background of the Fallen and many of the "minor" characters Winter, such as Kibi and the mysterious Fallen leader. Currently on hiatus. Eternity and Beyond - A collection of shorts from Winter. They're kind of all over the place, some are just silly, some are sweet, some are creepy and some are somewhere in between. It's recommended you reading Winter first. :P Will be randomly updated as I finish shorts. Angel - A short story I wrote around Christmas. It made me cry. ): Siren - A piece I wrote on Halloween for my school's literary magazine. -old shit- Watcher - A school project, but I really like it. :) What Have You Done? - A teaser for a new novel I'm working on. It's... twisted. A lot like Winter is. Memories-Yay! The title's changed! I like this one much better.It's the story of a young woman finding her place in the world... kinda. It's actually the back story of a role-play character of mine. -complete- Demons- This will be the main story that is running through the background of Memories. This is on hiatus for a indefinite amount of time, but I haven't forgotten it. What I really need to do is sit down, remap it and then rewrite it, since the quality is very uneven, especially the beginning. Eternally Speechless - Up and waiting for reading. Such Is My Life - Bloody and sad. Read if you wish. See if you can guess who's writing it before the end. Shell - ...This is an extremely personal story, and I'm a little skittish about putting it up here, so please, don't flame it. Please. Responsibilities - A one shot I started a while ago when I had horrible writer's block. The storyline is fairly predictable and a bit cliche, but I don't really care. It was fun to write.
