Ich hab' keine Lust Ich habe keine Lust mich nicht zu hassen Ich hätte Lust mit großen Tieren Ich hab' keine Lust Ich hab' keine Lust etwas zu kauen Ich hätte Lust mit großen Tieren Ich hab' keine Lust ---Rammstein-"Keine Lust" DOB- May 1, 1989 (May Day) My name is Ryan, I am from northern New Jersey in the North East of the United States. I write mostly as a personal avocation, and I am not good at getting things done in a timely manner or meeting deadlines. As you could expect, my output is pretty erratic. People often refer to me as "emo" based on how I act and dress. I consider myself quite different from that though and don't use the label myself. I sometimes try to play guitar, but I am not very good. My brother is a very good guitarist, but he says he can't write too well. I am trying to learn to speak and write in German. Ich habe grundlegende deutschekenntnis. I try to review everyone who reviews me... so sorry if i forget... My pen name is a combination of Koba, the name of a Georgian folk hero a lot like Robin Hood, and the last name of Marius van der Lubbe, a council Communist who in 1933 set fire to the Reichstag in a desperate attempt to start a revolution against Nazism. Abandoned by the left, condemned by the right, he was executed by the Nazis and used as a scapecoat to ban the Communist Party of Germany and later all opposition parties. Ongoing projects: Yuppie Culture? No thanks. (working title) This story is one I started in my senior year of high school. The main character is a young man named Jan van Reensburg, a high school student in a middle class neighborhood on Long Island (a large island to the west of, and connected to, New York City, if you don't know). Jan is a first generation immigrant (along with his whole family) born in South Africa as part of the Afrikaner ethnic group (white southern Africans who speak Afrikaans, a language derived mostly from Dutch and who are mostly of Dutch ancestry). Unlike some immigrants, his parents have integrated fairly easily into American liberal/capitalist society. Jan also was quite integrated; unlike many American youth though, he becomes disenchanted with life in the US. Will his rejection of American and bourgeois values lead him to his own self-destruction? Involves or will involve drug use and other self-destructiveness and will touch often on what are referred to as mental disorders. | |||||||||||
