I am a home school student in high school. I live in middle Tennessee, USA; but have recently moved from Northern Idaho, USA. My sisters and I raise sheep in 4-H. I plan to raise goats too. I like to read and write, do math and science, and am very involved in my church and youth group band Paul, I help run the sound system. Although I have little perference to what kind of books I read, as long as they are good; I perfer above all elnce fantasy, some science fiction and historical ficiton. Favoirte authors are C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Frank Peretti, and Tamora Pierece.

I have my guide dog puppy now! His name is Keebler ( yeah, like the cookies!) and he is a beautiful Goldador, a lab and golden retrever cross. A very extrordenary breed, the quiet gentelness of the retrevers with the short hair and happy eagerness to work coming from the labs.

I have had Keebler now for almost three weeks (today's date is Friday, March 25, 2005) and he is 14 1/2 weeks old.

I am a puppy raiser and not a trainer or a blind individual, a common misunderstand. My job is to raise the puppy for a year and a half teaching basic obedience, come, stay, sit , down; house manners, including housebreaking; and socialization. Socialization is exposing the dog to all everyday situations to prepare them to lead a blind handler with care and confidence. Taking the puppy with me is the fun part and why I have always wanted to do.

I raise a dog for Southeastern Guide Dog Inc. A non-profit organization that give guide dogs to blind individuals absulutely free and offers them help through out the entire life of the dog. If you are intested in learning more about how to sponcer or just about the puppies here is the web page...
