哇靠～! I'm Garnu, but my name's really Summer. Garnu was an alias I created for myself back when I was young and paranoid of online stalkers, and it's gotten hard to shake since then. I've just turned TWENTY YEARS OF AGE on February first and I'm still in UTTER SHOCK that I am no longer a teenager. I do attend University - I am a Broadcast Journalism major. I've been on this website longer than you think, but I can't remember the password to my old account which is probably for the better... I live in the USA, but that's not where I envision myself being when I'm all growed up. I'm Chinese, 100 percent as it were, and I can speak Mandarin fluently and read and write a bit, but it's deteriorated to the point where I have to take a class here and there just to keep my conversational skills going. Sad, I know - I'm studying abroad in Taipei this fall for a semester solely to improve and re-learn a lot of my native language. Regardless, I'm still under the influence of my Chinese heritage and among other things, enjoy my Chinese pop/rock/hip-hop (ESP. 飞轮海, 罗志祥, 后弦, 王力宏, S.H.E, 陳綺貞, 南拳妈妈, 刘力扬, TANK, & of course 周杰倫) and Mandarin dramas and Wuxia series and shopping in China and visiting the relatives and all that. My dream is to be a VJ on MTV Asia, VTV, or OnTV when I'm too old for school (which will be after spring 2011). Like, I try not to be too much of a gossip junkie over here and rarely know what's going on with which celebrity, but when it comes to the Mandarin ones I absolutely lose it. Fangirl power activate 8D. I love kiwis, lullabies, charcoaling, summer, and gray eyes. I'm also kind of obsessed with online shopping (a.k.a the devil reincarnate), my future husband Jiro Wang (Taiwanese celeb - look him up), and Guitar Hero (even though my pinky is incapable of reaching orange). I'm a self-proclaimed Portugal National Team and ManU (that's soccer/football to you) fan and am a proud Photoshop junkie. And that, scarily enough, about begins to sum me up...

extinction_ In an effort to turn mankind into a race of superhumans, BioGeneTech4 has committed a dire crime - and one that cannot be reversed, throwing the world into a downward spiral and the very humans they once hoped to save onto the path of rapid extinction. Amidst the anarchal chaos and destruction, a small, rag-tag group of rebels try and set everything right despite all the odds. What they don't know is that they already hold the key in the form of a frail boy without half his memories named Venn. About 50-something pages long but I'm still hesitant to post it online because I want to try to publish this one eventually.

chasing lillian rose_ Noah Vaughan lives a very odd life. See, he's only seen the love of his life three whole times, ever, and has talked to her a total of twice. Haunted by the girl whom the world seems determined to keep from his clutches, he puts his life on hold (it was kind of dull anyhow) and, with eclective band-mates and fellow roadies in tow, goes in search for she who has evaded him five times too many, and whom he has fondly dubbed Lillian Rose. Yay! This started off as a one-shot that had a kind of grim tone to it (and I may still post that one up as well just to mix things up) but I decided to put a romantic-comedy twist on it instead. Honestly, this was spurned out of pure, selfish daydream.

the life of glass houses_ Lucy Norre is blind, and on top of that (and perhaps because of that) a bit auto- and agoraphobic. Her only contact is with her somewhat trashy sister, the crabby super who lives next door, and a stray cat who sometimes visits her windowsill. Her life is obviously less than perfect, but too stubborn to change, Lucy has resigned herself to getting by on family charity money until one day, a huge family of eight with the last name of Christensen moves into the apartment upstairs--and Lucy's quaint existence is suddenly bursting with the possibility of love, life, and the pursuit of happiness. I haven't thought this one all the way through yet, but it's on here because I do intend to write it one day.

babylon_ Meet Jaxton Rose, who has been to rehab a total of 32 times. It started out being because of a legitimate alcohol problem, but now, it's just easier - and more convenient, when he gets in free - to admit he's got yet another "problem" than to pay the rising rent and other utility bills of his life. Then there's first-timer patient Alexis Bale, reluctant heir to the vast Bale fortune and a victim to drug abuse for seven years. He thinks he's going to - and kind-of-maybe wants to - die. Sourly optimistic Jax and spoiled, disillusioned Alexis are roommates for the next four-to-five months, and find out that unfortunately, the walls inside this pastel-colored coastal home are harder to see through than the walls inside their heads. Slash. I'm just letting this one take me on a ride.

life on the other side_ Life is a love story, and Shea is the black sheep. To boost her best friend Hayden's low self esteem regarding girls, she writes love notes to him from a 'secret admirer' as an act of sympathy and maybe charity. Along the way, she starts believing what she is faithfully penning to him on a daily basis, only to find her love unrequited. Shea refuses to give him up without a fight, and when she sees Hayden moving on to a better future without her, she'll do anything in the power of her one-man army except let him go. This is the story of the other woman; it's not pretty, it's not clean, and it's got a scratched surface on which we see a facet of us all.

A most-deserved advance apology and forewarning to my readers: as far as posting the next chapter goes, I win the award for worst updater in the universe. You wonder why I only have one-shots posted until Girl for Hire? It's because I'm flighty towards men, and I'm equally as flighty towards my fiction. I have a bad case of ADD, and it usually culminates in updates ranging from two weeks to half a year because inspiration strikes me randomly and my muse likes to take vacations, occasionally going AWOL. I'm really, really sorry, and I know how frustrating it is when a story you want to finish just... isn't. In my defense, I, like everybody else, am not a bot who lives to write fictionpress stories. (Okay, maybe if I got paid...) I have university, homework, exams, a job, volunteer work, family, friends, and even a social life as hard as it is to believe. And sometimes I just veg out. NONETHELESS: unless I formally announce that the story is on hiatus or dead, it won't be. And I'm not a quitter, so unless I really hate a story I've started, I won't abandon it just like that. Please bear with me; I've probably lost dozens of readers due to my lack of updates, but I understand. If you can, try and stick around, and sooner or later, there will be an update. Thank you all so much for reading. :) And I don't mind an occasional prod or so to update, but please don't flame me about it! I'm human too :'(.
