Author has written 4 stories for Fantasy. I'M BACK... MAYBE. My Style A bit about my writing: I like to stay primarily in the fantasy genre, though occasionally an oddelement here or there will stray into a different genre. Why fantasy, you ask? Because it is, in my opinion, limitless and completely flexible. It's the main reason why my least favorite genre would have to be historical fiction. There are rules you have to follow, and I find that drains at my imagination. Just a quick note for the masses -- I'm horrible at poetry. So bad, in fact, that I took all my poems down. Soon I might put up some of the newer stuff, which isn't TOO terribly bad... (I thought it was awful, but it got me an A in Creative Writing!) When my mind is caught in a story, I often won't let it go. That's what has happened with Ésalno. I started writing Ésalno when I was only twelve. Right now I'm on my third rough-draft (the second to be posted on FictionPress), and once this copy is finished, I will begin anew... which means rewriting the entire damn thing until I like it. I may do this two more times, maybe five. I don't know. My plan is to eventually get it good enough that I can publish it as a teenage fantasy novel or something like that. Nothing serious, you know. Just for the hell of it. I LIKE CRITICISM. Polite critiques from readers truly help me, and I appreciate the fact that someone is trying to help with my writing. If there is something you think should be improved in any of my stories, please let me know in a review. Please be honest... but also please be polite. Thanks. Stories Ésalno: Aurora's got it all -- who wouldn't when the leader of half the continent has a soft spot for you? The only thing her ruler and friend asks for in return is loyalty. That's exactly what Aurora gives him, not knowing that her loyalty is worth more than anyone could imagine... Enter the Easterner, a mercenary from the enemy kingdom of Foren, sent into the deserts of DuLexorne on a mission to smuggle a Western traitor to safety. When Aurora hunts him down and comes in for the kill, she begins to learn that her life isn't as simple as it used to be... or rather, that it never was. And, soon, she begins to understand just why her loyalty is so important, and what the Lord of DuLexorne is willing to do for it. Insum: HIATUS. TO BE TAKEN DOWN. The people all thought they were dead, that Serasti forces slaughtered them years ago. And it's true... sort of. Years after the death of the entire Lirun royal family, the country has accepted its new leader, Lord Alerio Dorjan. Life moves by at a slow, peaceful rate for most of the people. For three friends Beren, Tari, and Masén, life in their little village seems to move even slower. Well, that is until "The Intruder" arrives... Soon the three friends find their lives no longer peaceful, all because of the mysterious thing that has taken control of one of them. It cheats death while acting as a parasite to life... and surprisingly has a good sense of humor. The three (or rather four) are soon thrown into a world that they don't understand but have truly been living in all along, blind to it for their entire lives. And as they go down seperate paths, "The Intruder" is there to tie them all together again in the end... along with a few others. Round Hole, Square Peg: HIATUS. TO BE TAKEN DOWN. Terlen thought he was living a decent life, pouring drinks for the local bar patrons at night while stealing from them in his spare time. But when he steals from the wrong guy, he worries that his life may lose its decency... and that he'll be sent to the infamous prison known as The Cells. However, when things start looking their grimmest, Terlen's life is suddenly saved by a stranger known only as Dom. Dom is, undoubtedly, a mysterious character. But he's simple in that all he wants in return for a saved life is a free night at the local tavern. Terlen agrees... and ends up getting more than he bargains for when soldiers begin knocking on the front door, asking to search the building. Before Terlen can blink, he's suddenly thrown into a world of murder and thieves, drugs and weaponry. And in this chaotic realm he realizes that killers and slavers aren't all that bad... at least not as bad as the soldiers chasing after them. The Embodiments: Ari and Keira Lansing live in the holy city of Alben, South Meker, working as Entitists for Captain Nisera. Their daily lives consist of training, training, and more training -- both physically and mentally so that they can control the entities within them. In South Meker, and the world around, entity-control is a normal part of daily life. Glowing eyes and strange colored hair: normal. Being able to levitate or cover the courtyard ground with snow: normal. But one day, with the arrival of two men, Ruiki and Relik, the normalcy ends. Ruiki and Relik, supposedly half-brothers that were traveling together on a journey to Alben, South Meker, are not exactly what they seem. While innocent enough in looks in actions, strange things seem to follow them wherever they go... strange things involving entities far too powerful than they should be. Soon Ari and Keira begin to notice, and so does the Captain of the Entitists' Legion: Aydran Nisera. As everything begins to come together, Ari and Keira learn that Ruiki and Relik are more than what they seem, and they're not the only two strange people to have arrived in Alben that sunny afternoon. Fan Art Yes, there's fan-art:O Amazing, neh:D Ésalno: -Aurora -- Sheryl. This is the first (and so far only) fan-art. Many thanks to Sheryl! I love the ears, by the way. Though I always imagined them being small, like LOtR Legolas ears, it's cool to see how you imagine Aurora. | |||||||||
