| The Old Sam Garrett |
Author has written 14 stories for Fantasy, Biography, General, Essay, and Romance. E-mail address: sambgof91@aol.com Various Updates: April 7th, 2008: Well, I'm putting The Heart of Six (Different) Worlds on hiatus, but I've started up a new novel, Nine Times Lost. I'll be working on both of them at once, kind of, so it's not like I'm NOT writing, I'm just taking a break from Simon's various adventures. :) April 8th, 2008: Chapter Eleven of The Heart of Six (Different) Worlds. April 27th, 2008: Hm, it's been a while. Anyway, I've kind of put BOTH of those stories on hold for stress issues, but I'm working on a weekend project here. It's only gonna be 10,000 words or so, if even. Give it a read. :3 June 8th, 2008: Well, it's been a really long time, hasn't it? I've been going through a lot lately, and so my writing in general has been on hiatus. I know. It's annoying. I've given up fantasy for the time being, and right now I am working on realistic fiction. I want to focus on human emotion, and I've realized that the bizarre world of fantasy has taken away from that. Anyway, I hope that you work with me here, folks. I've posted my newest story, Held Up, and I hope that it goes somewhere. It'll be hard, I know, because it's been a while, but I think it holds a lot of promise because of what I've learned over the years. Anyway, I love all of you! :D June 11th, 2008: We currently have 5 chapters of Held Up posted, and there is sure to be more to come. My current pace is that of one chapter everyday, and I'll probably be able to keep that up, considering this is my last week of school. I have summer school, but that's nothing, no? Anyway, I hope you guys stick with this one, 'cause I'm having a lot of fun with it. June 15th, 2008: All right. We've got 10 chapters up and running, now. Isn't that spiffy? Isn't that grand? I'd love to hear from you guys on this one, because I'm really feeling good about it. Anyway, just thought I would let that be known. xD June 21st, 2008: I completed Held Up. Yeah, recognize that it only took me 15 days to do that. xD Schematic of my novels: Singles: The Black Sleeves (Spring of 2007) - complete Of His Darkness (Summer/Fall of 2007) - complete Nine Times Lost (April, Spring of 2008) - canceled The Dark Shade of Secrets (April 25th through April 27th) - complete Held Up (June 7th through June 21st) - complete Series: Thread of a Different Sort (Winter of 2007/2008) - complete The Heart of Six (Different) Worlds (Spring of 2008) - canceled Various Information About Meself: I tend to dislike writers and artists, though I do fall under both of those categories. I don't like to talk about writing strategies, and I don't like to compare artwork. I work in both mediums for the opportunity to entertain people, not to express myself. I figure that my personality is plenty strong enough for expression, and so I don't need to rely on my work or my appearance to do that. I tend to be the fair police, and I strive to one day never be considered a hypocrite. I have obnoxiously high morals and standards, and I tend to get on people's nerves. That's just me. I put my heart into my writing and into my art, and so you will never hear the excuse, "Well, I rushed it," or, "This is just a rough draft." I will, however, say that I am always improving, and that must be taken into consideration. I love grammar in any form, and so I hope that shines through my work.
