(sixth day of the fourth month of two-thousand nine) Damage Control has been completed! I am actually extraordinarily disappointed with its turnout, but I needed to finish it or else I would never be able to move on. Maybe one day, I'll go back and edit the last chapter. But for now, enjoy and read. Thank you everyone!!

She is eighteen, born on the fourteenth day of the eleventh month, ten years before the dawn of the third millennium. She is (finally) officially in her last year of high school, and soon to continue her education at New York University. She plays the clarinet and the piano. She writes as often as she can, and gets stuck in a rut more than ninety percent of the time. She enjoys life in general and is always trying to make the best of any situation not concerning herself. But she's sarcastic, yet hoping to never offend anyone by comments and thoroughly apologizes if (and when) needed. She loves to play with CS2 and PSP9. Snow, coffee and Gaspard Ulliel are the loves of her life. But despite it all, she has no self-confidence and always doubts herself. She abhors public speaking, in fear that she may say something stupid and completely nonsensical. Though usually, her thoughts are voiced by the louder person on the other side of the room. She also hates people who conform to the popular fads and opts to go for her own individual style. She has also discovered herself to be a hardcore band geek and has absolutely no problems with that. Who is she? She is MadforFigs.

If you're going to write criticism/flames, please leave your username. There's absolutely no need to make it anonymous, seriously. I find it more helpful for myself and plus it lets me know that you're not writing c/f for the fun of it. I'm not gonna bite people's heads off, seriously. -_-

"to believe your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men, that is genius" (ralph waldo emerson's self-reliance)
"there is a time in every man's education when he arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance; that imitation is suicide" (ralph waldo emerson's self-reliance)
"here is a lesson in creative writing. first rule: do not use semicolons. they are transvestite hermaphrodites representing absolutely nothing. all they do is show you've been to college" (kurt vonnegut's a man without a country)
"in proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness" (henry david thoreau's walden pond)
"two roads diverged in a wood, and i-- i took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference" (robert frost's the road not taken)

All I Want for Christmas : (Completed One Shot) A nice holiday one shot I had suddenly decided to write when a few things happened at one of the local malls around where I live. It's extremely fluffy and I really enjoyed writing it, even though the style's absolutely terrible. As for how quickly everything moves? It's Christmas fluff! It's supposed to be that way. Heh.
Blind Love : (Sonnet) A work I had written back in my freshman year of high school while studying the sonnets of Shakespeare. Obviously, our teacher deemed it necessary for us to write our own to prove our knowledge of Shakespeare. Enjoy, and the timing is correct. I checked it. Duh.
Crosswords : (Completed One Shot) I was working on a crossword today with a friend and he was leaning over my shoulder and breathing down my neck. I have to say, it was mad uncomfortable and I made fun of him for being a hoverer. So there you go, a real life example of how I get my story ideas.
Damage Control : (Completed with Six Chapters) So this was something I decided to write in the spur of the moment. As of right now, I'm relatively disappointed with the last chapter, but it will have to do. I am extraordinarily partial to the character Zack. I hope you enjoy!
Empty Stairwells : (Completed One Shot) It's based off a stairwell that I walk through everyday after my fourth block Physics Honors class. Unfortunately, my life isn't anything like a FictionPress story, so I just used that setting as a basis for this very cliché, fluffy, lovestruck, one shot.
Jack : (Completed One Shot) The warning is there for a reason. Don't come complaining to me if you didn't see the words WARNING and the M rating. If you don't like things that might end up being slightly controversial or if you're not mature enough to handle it, don't read it. I'm not asking you to. This piece was written in order to rid myself of angst at that point in time. I had originally not intended it to end this way and to make it... yay... but I figured... why? All my other works are like that...
Kiss Me, Kate : (Completed With Five Chapters) Alright, so this is another emotional piece that revolves around something that almost happened in our school last year during the school production. It wasn't the same play, but you get the gist of things. The situation was crazy and this play was perfect because I love the name Kate. Heh. Enjoy, and get psyched for all the drama.
Make A Wish : (Completed One Shot) The characters are based off of real people. I wrote this back in April before I found it today while cleaning my computer. Hopefully it's okay; after all, it's another piece of mindless fluff.
Mall of Broken Hearts : (Completed One Shot) Wow, you have no idea how much I despise this one shot. I can't even describe my dislike for it. Read at your discretion.
My Guardian Angel : (Completed One Shot) Now, it's quite unfortunate that both of my favorite one shots got the least amount of reviews. But I honestly don't care about those things, because I'm just proud of the fact I was able to write a one shot that corresponds with the lyrics of a real song. My Guardian Angel is a single sung by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and all credit goes to them for the lyrics of the song.
One Time : (Completed One Shot) The emotions in this story (at least from the girl) are real. Want to know why? Because that's me. I ended up pining for a guy who lived so far away from where we were that in order to get over it, I made a one shot about it with the helps of F. Scott Fitzgerald. And just to fill you in on my life's drama, he really did like me back apparently. How life hates me.
Someone's Looking for You: (Completed One Shot) It's my first attempt at a purely dialog only one shot, and honestly, I really do like it. I'm quite proud of it, considering the amount of stress I'm under. The idea came to me while I was in History the other day, because one of my friends was complaining about how five different people told her that someone was trying to find her.
Twenty Second Hugs: (Completed One Shot) This is based off a conversation I had with somebody and he said that I was just so absurdly cynical. There was a bit more too it that I left out of the one-shot for good reason, but this one has a bit of personal attachment to. I like it personally, so I hope you guys do too.

Like Father, Like Son : (10/20?) My absolute favorite baby as of this moment. I'm pouring so much hard work and dedication into this that I can't even get satisfied with new updates unless read by at minimum, three different authors from different sites. I apologize for the slowness of updates.
MasterCard Theory : (2/?) I don't even know how many times I have re-written this story. I believe I'm heading for a fourth time. This first was completed on a different site under a different user name and I cringe whenever I read the words of it. It's terrible. I tried to do a re-write and ended up with three chapters before I was unbelievably stuck. For the third re-write, the first chapter was a bit more satisfying, but I suddenly came up with a completely new idea which I eventually developed into the fourth version of MCT. Hopefully, it won't be a disgrace.
Pros and Cons of the Trombone : Discontinued for very, very obvious reason.
You Are My Addiction : Cold storage for an infinite amount of time. Why? Look at the title. It's terrible. Read the first chapter. It's terrible. I've tried to re-write it so many times but nothing is working because the entire thing is a disgrace to me. I can't even believe I wrote this. Ack.
