Author has written 5 stories for Romance, Supernatural, Action, and General. So this was overdue to be updated I suppose after 2+ years. I'm Nick and I write stuff. I try to write stories that I feel would make good movies. Deyrck vs. the Emo is a quasi-light hearted love story with the occasional over the top action scene and a little darkness thrown in the mix. Everything I've done since then has been quite a bit grittier, even twisted, with the most glaring example being my current project "There's Always Hope for the Functional Addict" which I hope (fingers crossed) to complete by the end of the year and as of now update weekly. A little about me for anyone who really cares. I'm a 21 year old college student at Ohio State persuing an engineering degree, living in Columbus right now. I'm an avid runner and (as you must know by now) writer and yeah... that's my interesting life. I realize my work is not well received on this website because of the lack of a mushy love story that undoubtably takes place at a high school and follows the plot of a twilight movie and to that I say, that's fine. Most of the readers on this site are looking for something like that and if that's you, I harbor no ill will, that's fine by me. However I have seen, as my reviews from Deryck vs. the Emp have indicated, that there are a small handful of people who can appreciate the distinctness of the tales that I weave, and so no, I don't need 7000+ reviews to be happy. At the end of the day I am writing for me. Having said that I always love getting reviews, even if it's just a few, and since I get so few I am now able to reply to many of them personally in following updates. I stole this from another author 'cause I liked the idea. One day I'll tell her that but I wanna finish reading her story first so I can leave it in a review. Since the current project is the only one I'm working on (Blackwater and Whisper with a Bullet are essentially scrapped, but feel free to read them if you're so inclined) I thought (she thought) it'd be cool to post pictures of people that essentially look like the characters I'm narrating, therefore giving the reader a better understanding of who they're reading about. Mark: Our loveable meth slinger, hell, I stole so much from this TV show already in my story that I might as well snag the main character from it. Personality wise they are in much different worlds but they look/dress pretty much the same. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/xh67q Iona: Our freckled, somewhat irrational but well intentioned junkie. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/vtlri Wendy: Our street smart stoner girl. Any fans of the Disney channel (which I am not) might recognize her. Personally I don't know this woman from anything I just typed "dirty blonde hair" into an image search and found someone who looked like Wendy. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/e1sbu Tony: Tech wizard, post chapter 10 make-over and quite a bit younger than this dude but similar looking. http://www.freeimagehosting.net/22evp Amy: Since she's a christian I doubt she'd wear a Hooter's tank top but you get the idea http://www.freeimagehosting.net/6iogs Curt: Our sharp minded middle man http://www.freeimagehosting.net/o1l81 So that's that, and I'm sick of typing stuff so feel free to inquire about anything else. No need to be strangers in this writing community. | |||||||
