"Whether or not you write well, write bravely." -- Bill Stout
In the real world, I'm not a terribly interesting person. Let's be honest now; I have yet to feel like I've done anything great or made a huge change in humanity. I'm still too far into the process of learning how to live life to it's fullest to actually change life yet. So, for now, I write, because when I write, I can be whatever I want. I can shape worlds to my liking, I can make characters and places and things that no one's ever heard of before. Maybe it's just fueling some secret power-trip or something, but writing is like my "personal nirvana," as a fellow student-writer once claimed.
On a more writing-oriented side, my stories tend to not be stories at all, really, but rather they are starts to stories that I have yet to follow up on. They also tend to reach into the darker and slightly more nutty side of my mind--and much of it is fashionably inspired by the works of Lewis Carrol, Tim Burton, and lots and lots of movie and television. Pan's Labyrinth was a big influence on a couple of my recent pieces, because damn, that was a good movie. Go see it, folks. Don't be discouraged by the fact that it's in Spanish. Good. Movie.
I should also note that my spelling is horrible. You've been warned.
Enjoy, feel free to criticize, so long as it's constructive. I'll try to use the critisism to the best of my ability--it just kind of sucks when I've already uploaded something and can't go back and change it without uploading again. So... Like I said, to the best of my ability.
