April 17, 2008: No, I'm not a deadbeat! Haha, hurray. I've finished the short-story version for the NCTE contest and uploaded it. I actually am really proud of this one, even though it's very different from the novelloid-version. It's third person and depressing, and it focuses more on Honesty and Jack than Honesty and Sam, which is actually how the rewrite is going to be.
April 7, 2008: Yeah, okay, apparently I am a deadbeat. I was working on Honesty, and I've never completely stopped, but I've been doing so many versions for the NCTE contest, a one-day stint on ScriptFrenzy, to keep myself amused. Don't hate me please, but do feel free to whack me upside the head and tell me to get on with it. The new character pictures for HONESTY should make you feel better.
Feb. 25, 2008: I'm not being a complete deadbeat, I swear! I'm rewriting Honesty. Very, very slowly. Don't shoot me, I beg you. I more or less had to. Can't build a house unless the foundation's solid, and these first few chapters weren't solid.
Jan. 24, 2008: I've got most of H's ch. 9 written, and I've got lots of pieces of future chapters. If there are any quotation freaks out there, you'll love these. It'll take a while for me to type, edit, post etc., but they'll be up in time.
Ciao a tutti! Pleasure to meet you, I'm cls81690. I'm kind of quirky, debatably crazy, and I'm fascinated by words. Any and all, don't care what language, I collect 'em. Peter E. Meltzer's The Thinker's Thesaurus may be my best friend; seriously, for a word-lover, it's as much of a necessity as Strunk and White's or the OED. Mark Twain once said, "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug." He would've loved Meltzer.
I also have an account on fanfiction.net/~cls81690, and I swear I haven't completely abandoned it. I have a tendency to put stories (and, okay, everything) on hiatus, sometimes for a very long time, but don't give up on me! I can only throw my heart into one project at a time, but I can't give up on the ones on the back burner. I love them all too much.
I'm a member of the Yahoo group reviewers-found, and I highly recommend it. Sure-fire way to ensure you'll get at least a couple useful reviews each month!
The novels-in-progress (excluding the hundred or so on the back burner)
Honesty:
This is the one I'm mainly working on right now. It's slow going, but it's worth it.
Honesty is a fairly agreeable person with a fairly agreeable life. She has a stressed-out mother and absent-minded father, an annoying but lovable diva/genius for a sister, an adorable baby brother, and friends she loves. School isn't a problem, she's happily romance- and drama-free, and she'll probably get a job eventually. Her life was a crazy, nonsensical adventure, mainly because that's how she viewed it, and she was happy. Then her mom's old best friend moves in, bringing her 3 kids, and Honesty has to share a bedroom with two boys. Sam is the sexiest, most despicable person she's ever met. Hon gets butterflies in her stomach every time he touches her, and she has to figure out how to keep her sanity, avoid being seduced, and not kill the bastard. The lust is driving her up the wall, but eventually it becomes something more. Is it possible to be in love without being in like?
Character Pictures: If there are several, imagine elements of all combined and you'll have it. (This is the link to the whole album. The ones below are quick links to the best of the pictures.)

Dragon's Flower:
On hiatus. Currently a fanfic; I see other possibilities.
Azalea Xavier moves to Hogwarts in her sixth year. She may be the oddest creature Draco's ever met, short of Luna Lovegood, but for some reason she refuses to hate him--despite his best efforts! He can't for the life of him tell why she's a Slytherin. "I always did want to be a princess when I was a little girl," she told him lightly. Blasted girl. He can't figure out why he finds her so intriguing, and she can't figure out why she lets him get so close.
