Author has written 13 stories for Young Adult, General, Romance, Fable, and Mythology.

Hello! My name is Brigid. I'm going to be revamping my account in the near future. The plan is to have this site be mainly for short stories and selections from my novels. I'll post a couple chapters of the novels here, and if you'd like to read more then go to SanityBakerydotcom. The stories are members-only, but you can email me at BrigidWritesatgmaildotcom for information on how to make an account. (Truth be told, it's pretty darn easy to figure it out yourself, too.) :-)

If asking folks to register becomes too much of a pain in the ass, I'll stop. I just don't want to be taken advantage of, and this seemed easier than having you email me to have each story sent to you.

I have several reasons I'm not going to post entire larger works here. One is that I don't want to have to deal with the plagiarism many others have suffered. Another is that, by asking you to join the site, I'll know who's reading my stories and I can ask you for critique. I have a lot to learn. Work with me.

Mark Twain once said, "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug." I've got a plethora of lightning bugs just now, but I'm working on it.

I also have an account on fanfiction.net/~cls81690, and I haven't completely abandoned it. I have a tendency to put my stories on hiatus for a very long time, but I come back. I can only throw my heart into one project at a time, but I can't give up on the ones on the back burner. I love them all too much.

In All Honesty:
This is the one I'm mainly working on right now. It's under serious revisions. If you want it to happen faster, just send me private messages rather frequently and I'll be less distracted.
Honesty is a fairly agreeable person with a fairly agreeable life. She has a stressed-out mother and absent-minded father, an annoying but lovable diva/genius for a sister, an adorable baby brother, and friends she loves. School isn't a problem, she's happily romance- and drama-free, and she'll probably get a job eventually. Her life was a crazy, nonsensical adventure, mainly because that's how she viewed it, and she was happy.
Then her mom's college best friend moves in, bringing her 3 kids, and Honesty has to share her life with the newcomers. The younger ones aren't a problem, but Sam is the sexiest, most despicable person she's ever met. He looks exactly like a younger version of Hon's godfather, Jack. Honesty had adored her godfather, but his son is another story. She gets butterflies in her stomach every time he touches her, and she has to figure out how to keep her sanity, avoid being seduced, and not kill the bastard. The lust is driving her up the wall, but eventually it becomes something more. Is it possible to be in love without being in like?

Dragon's Flower:
On hiatus. Currently a fanfic; I see other possibilities.
Azalea Xavier moves to Hogwarts in her sixth year. She may be the oddest creature Draco's ever met, short of Luna Lovegood, but for some reason she refuses to hate him--despite his best efforts. He can't for the life of him tell why she's a Slytherin. "I always did want to be a princess when I was a little girl," she told him lightly. Blasted girl. He can't figure out why he finds her so intriguing, and she can't figure out why she lets him get so close.
This one I will continue to update at FanFiction.com rather than moving to my personal website.
