Update - 10/25/09: Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated Confessions of a Former Chew Toy in so long, but my sophomore year of college has been crazy busy so far! I'm working on chapter nineteen, though, and the start of Cornell's hockey season has given me fresh inspiration! So yeah, please don't be too mad at me!

Update - 8/16/09: Confessions of a Former Chew Toy won the SKoW Award for Quirkiest Chapter Title! Thank you so much to everyone who voted! It really means a lot to me.

Update - 7/19/09: I should have realized this back in February, but Six Weeks With Satan won Best First Kiss in round 1 of the TiRO Awards! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for it!

Update - 7/15/09: Confessions of a Former Chew Toy was nominated for Quirkiest Chapter Title in Round 8 of the SKoW Awards! Everyone gets free virtual cookies! Please, if you are so inclined, vote for it! SKoW Website: http://skow.byethost18.com/index.php

Important Update - 6/4/09: Some of my friends on this site (e.g. angels and effects and SamanthaNicole) have recently taken down their work because of the wave of plagiarism that has been going around. First of all, I want to say that I completely support their decisions. Second of all, and I say this with emphasis, plagiarism is NOT okay. Both at my high school and here at Cornell, plagiarism is taken as an incredibly serious offense. Not to mention that it's illegal. If you're doing it, you will get caught - it's a very obvious crime, especially when the story in question is widely read. That being said, if anyone ever sees a plagiarized version of one of my stories, please let me know immediately. And to any plagiarizers reading this, if you steal my work, I will hunt you down and take legal action. To everyone else, much love!

Update - 5/5/09: Hey, loves! It's finals week up here at Cornell, which means I'm about to have a whole lot of free time to write! I'm hoping to update CFCT much more frequently over the summer. I'm proud to say that She Looks to Me was the Judge's Pick for Best Challenge Response in Round 7 of the SKoW Awards! Thanks so much to everyone for all your support. I can't even express with words how much it meant to me to know that people cared in light of everything I went through. If you haven't been to my website recently, take a look at it. I've been working on it, so there's some new stuff.

Update - 7/5/08: I've finally made a website for pictures, playlists, and news about my stories! Here it is: http://www.freewebs.com/comparativeadvantage/index.htm

Update - 3/16/08: Eden Jensen was the runner up in the category of Best Supporting Character in the SKoW round 5 awards! Thank you so much to all those who voted for me! I'm truly honored. There's a neat graphic that goes along with it, but I have no idea how to upload it. If I try to put it on the profile image thing, it ends up getting cut off, as it is a rectangle as opposed to a square.

Who is woodstock1969, anyway?

I'm 19, and I live in Massachusetts, though I'm currently at college in upstate New York. I love writing, reading, photography, film, snowboarding, playing my saxophone, drawing, German, Cornell Men's Ice Hockey (Go Big Red!), marching band, pep band, baseball (particularly the Red Sox), spending time with friends, and God.

There aren't a whole lot of things that I dislike, to be honest. The only things that I can think of are waiting in line, airports in general, ignorance, and arrogance. I'm also a hopeless romantic, which I suppose is obvious by the romance stories that I write.

In terms of favorites, my favorite film is The Shining, my favorite books are The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Sorrows of Young Werther by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and Eat the Rich by P.J. O'Rourke, my favorite color is black, and my favorite bands are the Beatles, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Anberlin... the list goes on. Let's just say I'm kind of a music junkie.

My friend Kevin says I'm "verbose." He's probably right. :-)

That's probably more than you ever wanted to know about me.

I manage a romance C2 on this site called "Love: the Breath of Life." If you're interested in being on staff, just drop me a personal message. I'm always looking for new people!

My work:

Confessions of a Former Chew Toy: (In progress) When I found out that Tully, my estranged childhood best friend, was rooming with my ex, the overly opinionated, rich tool, I knew that things were bound to get awkward. It doesn’t help matters that the frat boy won’t stop hitting on me, the French girl down the hall is driving me nuts, and all the guys I know have apparently been struck by an epidemic of male PMS. I really didn't want my freshman year of college to be this complicated.

Six Weeks With Satan: COMPLETE! It should have been the best summer ever for Lotte: a six week tour with her choir in Europe. The bad news: her infuriating (but sexy) nemesis, Kurt, is coming along as well. Lotte can't even spend six minutes with him, so how is she supposed to survive for six weeks?

I Still Believe: COMPLETE! Here's a summary: Abby, the sixteen year old who has never been kissed, still believes in true love despite her lack of sucess in the area of romance. She's just waiting for her prince charming to arrive. The question is, has she yet to meet him, or has she known him all along?

Falling for a Falsity: HIATUS. Sorry folks. Here's a short summary: A romance based on William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Bea is a man-hater. Ben is a womanizer. On top of this, they hate each other because of a prank that he pulled in sophomore year. What happens when their meddling friends trick them into loving each other?

Guarding Her Broken Heart: INDEFINITE HIATUS. Lieve's had her heart broken so many times that she swears off guys indefinitely. Can Wade, the charming, sensitive, gorgeous, new boy in town, penetrate her defenses and prove to her that not all men are pigs?

I've also got a lot of poetry and a few essays, although I haven't posted any of my more recent poetry, which I honestly think is far better than my older stuff. I have some ideas for oneshots, so I might post some of them in the future.

I hope you enjoy my stories! Oh yes, and please read and review! If it's any motivation, I tend to look at the work of my reviewers and try to give them feedback as well.

Much love and God bless you all,

woodstock1969

"Come over the hills and far with me,
And be my love in the rain."
~ Robert Frost

"Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends."
~ 1 Corinthians 13.4-8 (New Revised Standard Version)

For the record, I'm completely aware that my profile is hopelessly unoriginal. Sorry.
