Wow. It's been quite some time since my address bar has meandered its way to this neck of the woods. I made an account here way back in mid-2005...posted a single story...and simply forgot about it! Sad, ne? But hey, trying to be more active in my writing, I believe I'll try to spend some more time here...writing, reading, and reviewing.
So, yes, about me...I'm a seventeen year-old high school junior. I've been an aspiring writer for quite some time now. I have a very diverse array of writing areas. Fantasy and science-fiction earns quite a few brownie points with me, so expect to see a bit of that with my own writing and with any writing that I may enjoy. I enjoy good characterization. I believe that plot isn't nearly as important as deep, compelling characters. Just an interesting personality or outlook can keep me reading...even if there's no plot progression whatsoever!
Let it be known that I don't like to have my writing referred to as 'political'. I simply don't have a political mind. I try to avoid politics whenever possible. Typically, something that may seem political in what I write is just insight into basic morality or human nature. I do love using psychology...conflicting desires and opinions, the flaws and areas of importance.
But, I don't really like being serious too much. Comedy is good! Something nice and eccentric is always good! ^^ I'm a sucker for a good dominatrix joke...
Romance...is negotiable. >> > There's the good stuff and the bad stuff. Stuff that's typical and just written to be fluffy, and stuff that's interesting and exciting...but might even retain some fluff. Shounen-ai and shoujo-ai, or any kind of same-sex relationship in a fic is okay. In fact, a lot of the time, I consider them to be much deeper than normal romance. Just, the struggle of overcoming society's view of sexuality and intimacy, y'know? So, yes...love is good. ^^
Anywho, off of writing...I like lots of things! Video games, music, anime (Lots of anime! Recently, I've gotten psychotically obsessed with RahXephon!), smart comedy, dumb comedy, Magic the Gathering, and other things that are pretty much...well, nerdy. Yep, I'm a nerd. In fact, the people that are usually considered nerds beat me up...that's how nerdy I am. T.T So, to sum it up...

Okay...yeah...I have on story up. That's all. I have no projects in the making, because...well...can't think of anything, as much as I'd like to.
