Ruby Soho SUPERSTAR
I write a lot more @ LiveJournal
I do all sorts of art @ deviantART
I am: a teenage girl who needs to escape from reality occasionally.
Location: London. Its pretty awesome ;)
Why the name? Because I love the song "Ruby Soho" by bis, and at the moment, "Superstar" is one of my favourite words for reasons even I don't know - I just do!!
I enjoy: reading, writing, art, listening to music, writing music, learning foreign languages, Autumn, Summer thunder storms, strawberries, colourful hair, piercings, festivals, purple nail polish, cute keychains, pretending I can dance, traveling and going out with friends :)
I read:
• Haruki Murakami
• Tamora Pierce
• Anne Rice
• Lian Hearn
• the Bronte sisters
• Jane Austen
• Edgar Allan Poe
• Lewis Carroll
• Roald Dahl
• + many more besides
• in bed
• in the bath
• in parks
• in comfy chairs
• during maths lessons
• when it rains
• when it isn't raining
• whilst listening to music
• with a bowl of strawberries next to me
If you really want to know, here is my history with words.
My first book: The first book I learned to read by myself was called "The Mole who Knew it was None of his Business" and it was about...a mole who woke up one day to find poo on his head! He had to investigate to find out which animal was the culprit so he could exact his revenge...I won't spoil the plot anymore, it's a great book and I think everyone ought to read it ;D
My first series: The first series of books I loved was about 2 gorillas called Bangers and Mash, who lived in a tree-house in the jungle. It's all I really remember about the series, apart from the fact that I was the only one in my class who liked it - all the others liked the stories about Biff, Chip and Kipper, and the magical key. I was 6 years old.
My first story: I don't remember much about the first story I wrote. It's funny, but the irrelevant details stick in my mind - that it was 7, A5 pages long. Other than that, all I can remember was that it was about a dragon. I was seven years old.
My first poem: I wrote a couple of poems for school when I was 9, and along with a host of other school children who participated, they were published in an anthology called "Poetic Voyages." I don't remember writing much poetry again until the Summer I left primary school, aged 11.
Writing:
I don't have any ongoing stories at the moment, though I have a few planned. Right now I'm working towards my exams.
I'm doing a lot of drabble challenges and fanfiction challenges (which can be found at my LJ writing account)
