Author has written 8 stories for Horror. My real name is Kyle and I'm a senior at Missouri State University with a major in Creative Writing and a minor in Criminology. My hope is to one day become a full time, accomplished horror writer. To be compared to such authors as H.P. Lovecraft, Clive Barker and Stephen King is the absolute ultimate (yet probably unattainable, despite the fact that some people see the influences those writers have on me in my stories) goal I could possibly achieve. I prefer to write shorter stories, novella length at most, but do have a couple of novel ideas in the very early stages of development (two of them being posted here in very early incarnations). If I come across your story and read it, I guarantee a detailed and thought out review/critique on some aspect of the work. I hope, though I do not expect, you to come and do the same to one of my works. All critique, negative (yet respectful) or positive is welcome. Same thing vise versa. If you read one of mine and leave a review, I will seek out one of yours and do the same. Thanks ahead of time. Word of advice to budding writers (or just other writers in general): Never apologise for your writing or make excuses for it. You write how you write, if someone doesn't like it and 'flames' you for it...fuck 'em. And secondly: don't be defensive, a good writer knows how to take critique and advice on how to improve themselves...and how can you improve if you don't know what you may be having trouble with? | |||||||||||
