- Wat up people?!...I'm an 18 year old college sophomore taking up my Bachelor Of Arts in Psychology. I love hiphop and writing rap. Also love a great deal, my share of screamo, hardcore, metal, alternative, emo, and experimental rock music. Also a variety of others, I keep my options open. Just here to read the works of greater writers and see if I can sharpen up my writing skills. Plus, there ain't nothing new going on these dayzz, so might as well write poetry to pass the time. I always make this attempt to capture a certain beauty through a creative perspective. I believe, that no matter how clichet the topic, you can still pull it off to be a great poem or story if you choose the right writing style. You also gotta have a writer you admire, to be your goad and drive your ambition to be a better writer. I, myself, bow down to the works of Edgar Allan Poe, the man is a genius! Robert Frost and Maya Angelou are also very skilled poets. In books, it's hands down, no doubt it, they would have to be Anne Rice and Stephen King. I have also done alot of reading on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, I think I've already read all of the Sherlock books and most of the short stories.
-According to some personality test, I'm an Idealistic Philosopher. Which I'm supposed to be psyched about, since only 3 percent of the human population has this. But knowing that I'm that much of a rarity, makes the world seem like a lonelier place...
- My problem in writing, is that, like Leonardo Da Vinci, I'm a natural procrastinator. I don't know, its just that everytime I write a poem there is always that feeling that you're tearing away a piece of yourself that is needed in writing the words down. And there's always the fear that the words won't come out right. Plus, it's really hard for me to get started on the first few words.So whenever I do decide to write a poem, it's usually a very big deal for me.
- Believe it or not, most of the works I've done ain't about me. They usually about a certain beauty, that I've taken from an interesting angle, that have caught my eye. And I try to keep it real always, every piece of work I've done has a glint of the human suffering, strength, confusion, dignity, hate, wisdom but most of all, Love.
- So here's the usual trade the majority of the fictionpress people are offering, you review me, I review you. Sounds fair? Good, I think so too. I enjoy reading other people's works anyway, it gives me a chance to broaden my horizons. You know the problem of a lot of writers is that they always stick to a certain theme all throughout. Be open-minded dawg! Give a chance to the topics you don't normally use. And don't worry if you find people disagreeing with your works. A great man once said, "Neither God nor man will tell me what to write"...God I wish I remembered who that was?
- Life is a process of constant change and a strive for perfection. Held together with what man has called love. However, others refer to the existense of an Alpha Being in control of this chain of events known as life. While others merely mention the persistance and illusional self-importance given by men to themselves. Whatever the reason, let's help each other out.
