There's not much anyone really needs to know about me in order to enjoy my work, so I'm not going to waste your time with inessential details. Just so we're clear, though, I'm decidedly OCD (that's a self-diagnosis, by the way), things are rarely black and white to me, and I like to think outside the box. I'm also very self-centered (unfortunately), I worry too much about what everyone else thinks, and I'm an incurable perfectionist.

I think I can safely say that my style is unique, although it's up to you - my reader - to determine whether or not that's true, or whether or not anything I've written can actually be considered "good". As for my inspiration, I would have to say that my biggest writing influences have been Michael Stackpole, Stephen King, and Stephani Danelle Perry, although I've most likely read more than the average American in terms of current and classic literature. In other words, I'm a "buffet writer": I take bits and pieces of whatever I like from all over and apply those things to my own writing.

As for "Kenny's Friend", I have an awesome friend named Kenny. 'Nuff said.

By far the most important thing about me - really the only worthwile part about me - is my avid faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. If the fact that I'm a Christian turns you off to my writing, I'm okay with that - it's a risk I'm willing to run, and while I'll respect your opinion, let me also share with you the truth.

First of all, there's a key difference between being a "religious" and an "ethnic" Christian: many claim the title "Christian" as a way to distinguish themselves from Islam or Judaism. Hitler and Nazi Germany, for example, called themselves a "Christian" people simply because they were anit-semetic. Likewise, countless atrocities have been committed throughout the world's history in the name of Jesus Christ.

As for me, my use of the title constitutes more than religious prejudice or an excuse for radical acts of violence.

I will specifically say "Merry Christmas" to anyone no matter what they believe; I will speak out against abortion, wanton sexuality, and alcoholism in school; I will pray and read my Bible in public; I will share the truth of God's Word to anyone. Despite the fact that none of those things are "politically correct", I am willing to do them all. Why? I'm certainly not a rebel, nor am I deliberately obnoxious: I do it because Jesus Christ is the only reason I live and breathe.

Anyone will attest that when you love someone or something, you want to talk about him/her/it all the time, and that is the case with me and my Savior.

I have to admit up front that it’s no picnic being a Christian, despite the fact that many so-called "believers" promise you that it will be. The Bible says that the suffering true believers endure for God's name is something to be thankful for - something that proves us, grows us, and becomes an honor to bear. But most importantly, it is worth it in the long run. So here's the message I bear to you, and you're free to take it or leave it: God loves you, whether or not you return the adoration, and he will not give up on you.

Jesus Christ, a radical himself, came and willingly gave up his life so that you and I might live anew. It's as simple as that.

That said, if you're interested, confused, pissed, or simply have questions concerning anything about my faith, feel free to shoot me an e-mail me at the above address. I'll respond to anything you send me except chain e-mails. But do us both a favor: research your claims and know what exactly you truly believe before you attack my faith. Ignorance is something I simply can't and won't tolerate.

Bearing all these things in mind, be ye warned any and all readers: I do use profanity and the occasional sexual reference in my stories, depending upon the characters, situation, and plot. Understand that I use these things not to compromise my faith in God in any way, but rather to accurately depict human reality which is sinful in every way. Please don’t be offended by what you read here – only understand that I am depicting graphic realism and nothing more. I would never condone the majority of the things the characters in my stories say and do, nor do them myself.

If you've read down this far, I applaud your patience and sincerely appreciate your time. Now, spend more of it reading something I've written, and be sure to drop me a comment to let me know what you think.

Thanks, all.
"Ken"
