Author has written 6 stories for Fantasy, and General.

2/11/08 - Well then. This profile needs major updating, but I'll get around to that after midterms. Woohoo I'm in college now. Boohoo I haven't written much since starting last September. In other news, new Jade League prologue! This is a different incarnation from the two chapters of the original, so this is posted as a new story. Now I'm going back to studying.

4/23/07 - I've updated The Jade League, both chapters 1 and 2. Despite somewhat detailed planning, there are still many more details to sort out, many of which involve long discussions with my liberally biased economics teacher. Now that's just a hint of what's to come. Strangely enough, the second storyline that will follow The Jade League is beginning to take shape. It will most likely take place in China! Exciting, no?

As my part of my role as a member of the editorial board for my school's literary magazine, I was forced to read some truly terrible poems, many of which have sent me into my corner where I shall remain (all the while muttering something about finding a happy, grammar-loving place) until someone drags me out. However, I also read some truly excellent prose (and some not-so-excellent prose, but all (except one) of the entries presented at least an interesting concept). The poems have had a traumatizing effect on me, so if your grammar is not close to immaculate, I will most likely avoid reviewing your work.

On the other hand, the prose made me realize that there are amazing writers to find in this world. I am beginning a personal crusade to find these writers. If you have any writers to recommend, PM me, y'hear? (Please don't recommend yourself. That just defeats the purpose.)

Hi there everyone!

Somehow you have stumbled upon my profile page, which is currently in a very sorry state. Err... Welcome!

There are a few things you, reader, should understand.
ONE: I write sporadically. That's just how I am. I'm sorry.
TWO: I detest blatantly improper grammar. It gives me a headache and lowers my IQ. Really. If I haven't reviewed anyone in a while, it's probably because someone's writing blinded me temporarily, and I decided to hide in a hole until the world was deemed safe once more.
THREE: I welcome constructive criticism. Please! Review! I'll do my best to return the favor.

Lastly, I'm still a high school student. Cut me some slack, I'm busy! I'm really sorry if I haven't gotten around to reading/reviewing your work, but I have to set priorities, and usually school ranks higher than this particular hobby. And I'm a lazy procrastinator (somewhat redundant, but I thought I'd emphasize the point).

I suppose I should say a little about myself, hm?

A little about my writing...

The Gathering
Currently shelved. Or folder-ed, as the case may be. I finally realized the obvious: to start a story without a plot and try to rescue it along the way simply doesn't work.

The Jade League
On a futuristic Earth, when all government has fallen from corruption and rampant assassins, mob bosses and crime lords have taken over in every major city while rural areas, victims of the instability, descend deeper into poverty. Mages who once walked tall with their fellow humans have been forced to live in secret. Dodging consequences left and right is Mira, a young American mage struggling to survive and make some difference in the underground society. Then there is Etienne, the mage at the head of the resistance league in Paris. Mira needs Etienne's help, but really who is controlling whom?

The Lone Wolf Complex
Inspired by a day at the beach, this one-shot started out as a short story-ish thing that I wrote for fun once summer break started. It didn't quite turn out the way I'd wanted it, but lo and behold, my AP Lang teacher assigned a descriptive essay at the beginning of the year, so I rewrote this for the assignment. Thanks to peer editing and some input from my teacher, I'm very proud of this piece now.

The Fourth of July
This was written over a year ago, and looking back it seems a little foreign to me, since my style has changed a bit. I still like it though...

Currently in progress:
- The Jade League: currently in planning stages to avoid a demise similar to that of The Gathering. Chapters forthcoming sporadically. I think that was a grammatically suicidal sentence, but I'll write it off in the name of style.
- (untitled): a developing story based around two characters, Erica and Derek, who are being trained as the Head Captains of a CIA-sponsored academy that covertly trains bright young students in various espionage skills. Plenty of plot ideas have been thrown around about this one, including anti-terrorist missions and forays into foreign countries. This is mostly for my highly technical, gadget-y, James Bond-ish side. There's also an arc that involves these two leaving the academy, but overall it hasn't really been planned out in any way as far as progression of events goes.
- Gathering Shorts (GaSh): even though the Gathering is on sabbatical, I still might try to finish these and publish them under one story title. The world of the Gathering is an interesting place that I'd like to keep writing about, so we'll see what happens. These short(?) one-shots focus on Gathering characters that I didn't get a chance to develop in The Gathering. Right now there are shorts for Aria (Chapter 5: Althea) and Aldrenivix (not yet introduced in the old version, mentioned briefly in the Prologue of the new version).

I recently bought a new domain, www.kethadros.net, for my blog, writings, graphics, etc. It's still in development until I have more time to work on the layout.
Thanks to the following:
Naomi for being my "KEKEKEKEKE" editor, and for awesome plot advice (as well as random costume advice).
Eric for being my "YARR MATEY" editor, aka the editor who does random things and occasionally does something useful. Also thanks for putting up with my random bursts of nonsense, generally by email, at 3:00 AM.
Patty for being my "HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING ABOUT USING 'TO BE' VERBS????" editor.
Panzuriel for consistency in reviewing and shameless promotion of The Gathering on his FictionPress profile.
