Status as at 04/10/09

So, I'm supposed to be working on my story for NaNoWriMo but I can't seem to drum up any enthusiam for it. I liked my idea at the beginning but I just can't seem to get into it. It's so frustrating :-(

My lovely beta, Arcaedia, is also participating in this year's NaNoWriMo but she has been wonderful enough to say that she can carry on editing my chapters for me. Isn't she great?

This means that there will now be another update of E&R next week rather than in a fortnight's time. I just have to add some finishing touches first.

All other stories are on hold for the duration.

Status as at 30/10/09

I think my laptop hates me (loud wails and tantrum ensues).

I installed a virus/malware programme that was soooo good that it deleted the internet files because it thought it was dangerous and stopped me from getting onto the internet. I had to do a system restore which took forever and again lost more stuff. Bloody computers!

You can expect an E&R update this weekend but that's about it I'm afraid. I'm completely knackered this week and NaNo has started. It's my first year participating and I'm pretty excited about it but mostly nervous. I'm going into it completely blind, I have a faint idea about the story I'm going to write but that's about it. There's no plans, no ending in mind, nothing but a small idea. It's not a romantic story and will be from a male POV which should be interesting - what in blazes makes me think I can write from a guy's pov? I must be mad!

Status as at 27/10/09

Laptop crashed on Saturday and everything on my hard drive was lost. Luckily I backed up my word docs a week ago so not much was lost. But all my photos are gone, I'm devestated about that because I don't have any copies of them.

Hit and Run - Chapter 29 - 0 percent complete

I haven't started this chapter so there was nothing lost when the laptop crashed. Should start the next chapter soon but don't hold me to it.

Erase and Rewind - Chapter 16 - 90

Birthday Blues Part II is the next chapter in the story. Re-write of certain parts was needed because I lost the most recent copy of this doc on my laptop. The next update shouldn't take too long.

About me:

Asian girl living in South East England who uses the word ain't and drops her t's too often when she talks. I come from a big family and have been surrounded by kids as far back as I can remember. I get obsessed with things far too easily which is probably the reason why I'm such a huge fan-girl. I think daydreaming is a fantastic way to spend time, although I don't get much of a chance to do it these days. I'm a pretty easy going person (or so I like to think) but I can really talk when I want to. My worst quality is probably my competitiveness.

Likes:

Photoshop! I enjoy writing, but photoshop is my first love. I am a huge Lost freak and even bigger Skate shipper. I've recently become obsessed with Skins, I also enjoy watching the OC.

My music taste is varied and depends on my mood, but I am a regular listener of Zane Lowe (officially the coolest man on the radio). I listen to indie/alternative majority of the time, but I'll listen to anything with a little originality and a good tune.

I am also completely obsessed with rings. I'll buy pretty jewelery and everything, but I am mad for rings, the bigger the better.

Of course, it's a given that I enjoy reading, otherwise I wouldn't be writing.

Dislikes:

Mcfly! I absolutely abhor them and other manufactured pop crap like them. Insensitivity, Jack Shephard (grrr), when people don't capitalise their i's, really orange tans, Turkish Delight, chavs, a lack of self respect and Stuart Little. I also have a huge dislike for people who are rude and unkind in general.
